I’m a gamer and an anime nerd. Simple as that.
Also, as of June 22nd, 2011, I am officially a brony.
Is this going to be porn?
I want this to be porn.
My attitude about my recent posts:
That title tho.
Please link the source.
You hear stories about talented artists dropping out of school and shit like this shows you that they usually don’t need it.
Damn Becky, you sure are a cunt.
I haven’t been going onto Gamako images and telling people they’re wrong, dude. And the reason why I take these things to be canon is because I don’t see any ambiguity in them like you do. Now I admit I have been overzealous about this, particularly as of late, but there’s a point where denial just gets fucking ridiculous and it tends to set me off.
It seems you misinterpreted what I meant, sir.
I don’t care what people ship. I’m talking about when people deny that this ship is canon. The people who call kissing somebody and asking them out on a date “platonic”.
In regards to the last sentence there:
The date Mako asked Ryuko out on is not what we saw in the credits. Did you notice how there was a shot of Honnouji, then the same area with the school/city completely gone? A lot of time passed between the events of the episode and the credits sequence. And in regards to Gamagoori, not only was Mako still with Ryuko and Satsuki in the scene immediately following that, but Mako also wasn’t holding any flowers. It only makes sense; Mako has never shown any interest in Gamagoori. (Plus – and this is just my interpretation of the scene here – judging by Gama’s facial expression, it seems like the other Elites were just forcing him to do that. Consider how selfless Gamagoori is. He wouldn’t try to take Mako away from a happy relationship.)
Now, in regards to your first sentence…
Tumblr is generally insane. Not quite as much as /a/ or Reddit, but still pretty insane.
Why can’t the completely honest words and actions of a character in the show not be considered canon? Hell, the kiss probably wasn’t even in her imagination; seeing as how they were both just wearing their regular uniforms, it’s entirely within the realm of possibility.
Blushing at somebody who’s stripping in front of you isn’t an indicator of romance. That indicates either sexual attraction or, in the case of Ryuko given her characterization, much more likely embarassment.
You still have yet to present to me a reason why you’re saying that anything Mako says and does is meaningless. For fuck’s sake, quit ignoring shit just to suit your own needs.
Everything Mako has said in her speeches has been completely honest. A lot of it has even been important to the plot. You’re just going to arbitrarily decide to ignore that, especially after all the episodes of lesbian subtext?
Kissing somebody on the lips and asking them out on a date is not an implication.
The credits scene was not the date Mako asked Ryuko out on. Did you notice how there was a shot of Honnouji, then the same area but with Honnouji gone? Passage of time; probably around a year or so. At that point in a relationship, it’s cool to hang out with relatives or friends every now and then.
Plus, the imagery of Mako and Ryuko holding hands with Ryuko wearing a boy’s uniform is there exactly to illustrate that it’s the kind of date a boy and a girl would go on. Before you give me any shit about Mako’s moments not meaning anything, keep in mind that she’s said and done some really important shit during those moments, and the imagery always has some kind of meaning (even the seemingly random shot of her turning into a squid in one of them was actually a pun on the Japanese language relative to what she was saying).
Have I covered everything? By all means, keep shipping whatever you want, just don’t be in denial in regards to what’s canon.
Uploaded an image to Kill la Kill.
Though Mako kissing Ryuko and asking her out is a little more than friendly.
I’m not saying this is definitive proof (you need only to look to episode 24 for that), it’s just fuel to the fire.
I couldn’t give less of a shit what people ship. It’s all fine to me. But when people go to ridiculous lengths to deny what’s obviously canon, that’s ignorance.
I don’t see any ambiguity to it. A bunch of people being in denial doesn’t make me question that.
