It’s a shame that that song is so short, I agree. Oh, and you’re always welcome to steal my magic YouTube codes if you wish.

I enjoy chiptunes as well, but I lack the same Nintendo nostalgia as most people, so I guess I have a somewhat different perspective on them.

Aye, sir, friends we shall be! And thanks, I try to be pretty deliberate when I speak.

Heh, I actually felt a lot like that when I was a commentator for so long. My posts were pretty lengthy, so even though I probably had more words than most Conversationalists, my forum post count never benefited from it.

And yeah. For mostly irrational and likely unrelated reasons, I don’t really love February. The tail end of winter tends to be dark and dreary for me, and there’s no holiday season to look forward to. I’m glad to hear that you’re done with any tough stretch. I always feel pretty good about getting through those. That which doesn’t kill you, etc.

I’m doing pretty well. Most of my focus is on job hunting, but my dad needs an extra man on his job (“repair work” simply put.) And to be frank, it’s very frustrating to work with other people who can’t work or think as efficiently as you who isn’t even in the field. My dad is fine to work with, but he often has to run out to catch service calls, so then I’m sitting there, third-in-command, keeping my mouth shut when I know how to do something better than the people ahead of me. Hargleblargh.

Also: Don’t! You can still escape! It’s not yet too late! Save yourself!

Fun fact: His first ban was handed out by yours truly.

Well, the whole Twilight hatred/Rarity love is more of a joke of mine. I’m not sure if I’ll like Twilight as a princess (alicorn or not), but I don’t really dislike her more or like Rarity much more now.

As for the Rarity thing, I banned Advance (known for his various Rarity avatars) because he uploaded an X-rated image. I think most users understood why I did it, but they began to show support for him by changing their avatars to Rarity (some changing their usernames as well.)

I was simply moved by their support, and I’ve been friends with Advance for a while, so I wanted to show that I didn’t harbor any real hard feelings for him. I wish he’d pay more attention to what’s NSFW and what’s X-rated. He pushes the boundaries as much as he possibly can including editing images so they aren’t X-rated anymore (which is fine, but in my opinion from an entry gallery standpoint, if you’re having to go through those hoops to upload an image to KYM, then the image shouldn’t be uploaded anyway. There are plenty of other images that are far from X-rated but are still NSFW that would show the continued spread and activity of the fandom.)

I hope I don’t have to do it again, because this is his second ban that I know of. If he has to be banned again, then it’ll likely be a permaban…other moderators have suggested that for him before it crossed my mind, so he’s in the doghouse with a lot of moderation.

When I first joined tumblr, I started searching for a new avatar. I found this. This picture is in a pretty popular post with a little over 200,000 notes.

Yeah dude, I know a bit of 90s stuff.

I’m quite a hiphop fan. Although recently it’s mostly been focused on current stuff.

So, yeah, be back in about two weeks, but I might post a couple of times between now and then. Just sayin’. Also, iPhone keypads suck.

I wanted to say something in regards to this thread. The thread was moved from Site Related to Meme Research within 5 minutes of the thread being posted. Refresh the main forum page and check before making a post requesting a move; the server takes awhile to move a thread from one section to the next, but the thread will show up in both sections. Just a heads-up.

It’s tricky. It was mostly my fault that I decided to leave, but I’m genuinely glad to do it. I’m in no mind to give it the proper attention it deserves, and opspe can.

As for Citation, he should still be working with opspe, but I’m not sure in what capacity.

Looks ok so far, lacks some html and external references, but definitely good for a beginner.

You might wanna check out the textile thread again, as you forgot things like image width with the top image which was way too big (fixed that for you). If you’re going to show an image in the entry, make sure to first upload it to the gallery and then embed it from there (don’t forget to hyperlink it either).

The origin section could easily get some external references. I would place sites like DYAC in a seperate header if they’re big enough. Also, if you’re going to hyperlink to an external source, always use footnotes and external references, direct hyperlinking only goes with KYM pages.

I call myself one, anyways. I’ve personally never used CS4, only 5, 5.5 and now 6. Really, which one you use doesn’t matter unless you’re doing programming; Adobe is guilty of doing pretty much nothing but cramming features and not really improving old ones.

I could give you my Flash builds if you were interested in starting. If anything, it’s just nice to see how someone else’s work before you make your own; trust me, I hated the idea of using anyone else’s work for my projects, but I did look at the studio’s assets just to get a general idea.

If nothing else, Flash builds are good for use as a reaction image factory. I’ve done that a few times.

No karma, only 1 forum instead of 4, the only mods were admins, no gifs for avatars, no video sections, not very many images on the site, all contributions were in one category, you could post as often as you like, you could see posts of banned users, you could post in all old threads, threads couldn’t be locked, featured, or stickied.

Also, at one point there was a loophole that would let you upvote your own posts.

I looked at that picture you posted on my wall.
I grinned a bit, not big, but I did grin.
And I visited your profile.
The song started playing, and I started grinning a bit more.

Thank you for allowing me to smile for real for a change. I am in your debt.

That’s the idea. It’s hard though, people keep disappearing and changing their names, not to mention all these new countries that keep springing up…
