Egad! Advice dog does need to be cleaned, and not just of ponies… For image macros like advice dog which have already spawned tons of memes, it makes perfect sense to limit the entry page so that only actual advice dogs appear on it. It doesn’t need ponies, doctor who, random furries, anime characters etc. clogging up it’s entry page. I have what may be a silly question, These pics we post with obsession, Do we have guidelines on what to share, Or do we upload without a care? I’ve been hesitant to add my art, Not wanting to clutter up that part. And anyway it seemed self serving, When surely other bronies are more deserving.

I think we should be resistant to adding to many formulas to the calculations for trending pics. The servers are going to have to run these every update for anything anywhere near the running for the most popular pictures, which could cause updates to take longer and be slower. (I’m have no idea what the current metrics for trending pics are, but they seem relatively simple view/post count.)
