Seriously though, it’s like I’m a god with this stuff. It’s a bit too much to take at some times.

In terms of actual pain, I’m probably only around the mild level as long as I drink enough (i.e. gallons upon gallons of) water that my throat doesn’t dry out.
When that happens, every single swallow is a killer.
For now, it’s mostly just a general head-cold kind of thing where I feel wobbly, unfocused, and tired.
I woke up at 9 this morning, fell asleep at 11, and I’m now just waking up again at 2.
I have to go get a haircut in just a little bit now, but when I get back, I should have a few hours of productive consciousness to burn.

A Storm of Swords was extremely heavy on narration – something that the show can’t use, so they have to add in certain stories to convey the similar ideas. The book could just openly say that Jon Snow was falling in love with Ygritte, while the show has to show the relationship building up.

As far as the filler material, it’s because this book is pretty long. More than a season’s worth, but less than two season’s. Filler has to be added to fluff stuff out – remember that Theon never actually had a PoV in A Storm of Swords. Showing his story helps, but it’s not enough.

The banter between Ollena and Tywin is kind of important – it builds up some of her work in the Royal Wedding. Not going to say it couldn’t have been done better, but I can see why they added it.

Well, it was more a joking response. The truth is is that investing in space technologies has a huge return rate, even when the original plan peters out. Some space exploration technologies have actually helped us understand the human body more, and may allow us to treat disease better.
