Sorry I’ve been putting off analyzing that music for you. I keep meaning to get around to it, but I keep putting it off because you young people have terrible tastes in music. The stuff is just so different from everything I study.
I mean shit, do you even chord? A lot of this stuff has little to no functional harmonic content, and harmony is the paradigm by which a classically trained
prick purist such as myself uses to understand music. I’ll still take a listen, but besides maybe giving you a few general tips about form and developing musical themes, I don’t know how much help I’ll be.
I heard you like breaking bad and ponies. I too like breaking bad and ponies.
Hey, you know that song of mine you want to use? I actually made it by jazzing up a melancholy piano piece of mine. I thought you might enjoy listening to the original.
I think this gif accurately describes our creative relationship
Of course, it doesn’t show the hours Sweetie Belle spends thereafter animating piano keys =P
You know man, I’ve been kind of just ignoring you on the forums until recently. Now I notice every post you make.
Do you know why? It’s that damn avatar! It creeps me out so freaking bad, yet I can’t help but watch the full grotesque transformation every time I see it. WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?!?
It’s a funny coincidence you bring that song up. Today I resuscitated the project that originally inspired it (it’s for a graphic novel that I’m doing the writing for. It has no use for music, but God forbid I work on a project and not make some music for it.) It’s the theme for one of the gangs that the story revolves around after it gets taken over by an…interesting fellow.
Short answer is yes you can.
And hey, if you ever feel like animating something that’s not a pone, me and my friend would really enjoy seeing our characters move around and stuff.
I can probably help you out a bit. I can teach you how to make nice melodies, construct chords and meaningful chord progressions, and put the whole mess together in an overall structure that is musically meaningful. I am, as you noted however, very old school. I write all my stuff down on sheet music, I don’t know anything about using those new fangled musical programs or any of that witchcraft. So as far as learning how to operate your system or do sampling or whatever, you’re on your own.

Make this your profile music.
So, you, me, and Deadparrot have formed a creative trio. Did you notice that all of our favorite ponies have a connection to each other.
Fasten your seatbelt, I’m about to use reason!
Fifths, Deadparrot, and Exudes are working on a project together.
Fifths thinks Rainbow Dash is best pony, Exudes thinks Daring Doo is best pony, Deadparrot thinks Scootaloo is best pony.
Scootaloo agrees with Fifths that Rainbow Dash is best pony and Rainbow Dash agrees with Exudes that Daring Doo is best pony.
However, Daring Doo only exists in the mind of Rainbow Dash, therefore Rainbow Dash and Exudes really believe that Rainbow Dash is best pony.
Since Daring Doo is Rainbow Dash, Daring Doo also thinks that Daring Doo (who is really Rainbow Dash) is best pony.
Ergo, we all think Rainbow Dash is best pony except Deadparrot who is clearly a homosexual.
For once I’m glad that someone has autoplay music on their profile. That’s a neat song!
Yes master! I am honored to begin work on the glorious ballad of the orange one. Now what to write, what to write…hmm…
You know you want it.
