I can’t help but point out that if we were to take Jesus the way he was, not even he would fit in with squeaky-clean white-picket-fence Christianity. I mean, he made a whip and chased people out of the church of that time period. It makes me laugh, watching people explain that one away, as if they’re not the modern-day money-grubbers in the temple.

Cringeworthy is going back to the Zelda and Kingdom Hearts fanfiction you wrote as a high schooler, seeing all those Mary Sues you created based on you, and wanting to drink bleach by the gallon.

Those aren’t memes. Those are fads. By definition, the first few parts are similar, in that they appear and spread like wildfire for a while, but what separates a real meme from a fad is that you keep using a meme regularly. An image every few weeks is not regularly.

Compare this and “Over 9000!” for example. We still use “Over 9000!” A lot. We do not use this at all anymore.

James T. Kirk: Why would a Starfleet admiral ask a three-hundred-year-old frozen man for help?

Khan Noonien Singh: Because I am better.

Kirk: At what?

Khan: Everything.

Watson: That’s about as modest as he gets.

It began with the forging of the Great Epics. Three were given Tolkien, the wisest of them all. Seven to Rowling, the Great Sorceress of London. And another Seven were gifted Lewis. For within these Epics was bound the strength and will to govern each race.

And then, the dark witch Meyer forged in secret another saga. And into this saga she poured her will to dominate all epics. Twilight, the one saga to ruin them all. One by one, the free lands of the Fantasy Genre fell to the power of the saga. But there were some who resisted. A Last Alliance of reviewers and YouTube commentators marched against the armies of Meyer and in the dark land of Forks, they fought for the freedom of the Fantasy Genre.

Victory was near… but the power of Twilight could not be undone. It was in this moment, when all hope had faded, that George R. R. Martin, heir to the throne of Epic Fantasy, took up his pen. In one single blow, Meyer, the enemy of the free people of the Fantasy Genre, was defeated.

In a few short months, there will be new fans of the show, who will watch “The Reichenbach Fall,” and see the cliffhanger ending. Said people will think “OMG! What an ending! I wonder what happens next!” They will then go to Season 3 on Netflix and start watching immediately.

I hate those people already.

Okay, that’s that. I saw this a couple of days ago, and it seemed to be festering for some time. I looked at wikipedia (reliable as that is), but it had nothing to say; only a link to that article.

My older ones hurt my eyes and brain so much, I feel like I get dragged back to my old literary level just looking at them.

I’m pretty sure this one mightneed to be labelled NSFW. Even if it isn’t visually suggestive, the captions certainly are.

Though a certain Antonio Banderas article seems to show otherwise. Posted below, but still, keep an eye on things eh?

1) Have you seen how huge the main page is?
2) This site is meant to document memes/subcultures/etc. as succinctly as possible. It can’t really do that if it’s in the middle of a HUUUUUUUGE article covering everything.
