Fun Police's Forum Posts

Ah crap, the system is down!!!

I was literally right about to go grab the embed code for that video and post it here, when I saw that you had already posted it. Well, this is certainly interesting. I hope things are back to normal soon enough.

Badly-drawn trollface parodies?

I’ve seen it a little bit before, used mostly for irony. However, I’m also not sure if it’s very widespread. It seems almost as though it should go in the Trollface entry, actually, if it deserves mention at all. I’ll be happy to help, if it’s creating a separate entry you aim to do. Alternatively, I’ll also be glad to do research on this, and if I find enough, then add it to the Trollface entry if given editorship.

Forum Suggestion: Preview Button

I always type the HTML or Textile codes straight into my post rather than copy-pasting from the textile thread, and it’s a nuisance to have to edit my post when I screw something up. So a preview button would be nice in that aspect. I’m not much of a tl;dr poster, and I always read my posts as I go along, but little things can get missed. However, I always read my posts after making them, so if I see any grammar or spelling errors, I can pluck them out in the seconds following my making the post. So in...

Shit That Makes You Cringe

Citrus wrote: Encyclopedia Dramatica is your daily dose of cringe. ^ Yeah, I’m going to have to agree with that. I am aware that it is satire, but due to my inability to take a joke and my general oversensitiveness, it still rustles me very, very easily. I’d rather not go to a website that features articles insulting people and things that I like and enjoy. Also, I’ve always had an issue with racism, homophobia and misogynistic behavior, and although I’ve tried really hard to laugh at ED articles in...

Pros and Cons of where you are

Massachusetts Pros: The people in my area are pretty welcoming and nice. Just like Harley said, there’s pretty good restaurants around here. Gay marriage is legal, which is a nice thing. Very efficient state in terms of energy. Great ecology. Excellent in arts and culture. I’m attending a school with a solid educational system, which is palpably great. I haven’t been here for very long, but I’m enjoying it so far. Cons: The community I’m a part of isn’t as diverse as I’d like it to be. That’s not to say...

Rat the avatar above you (Redux)

8/10. I think it’s a pretty funny, albeit just a tiny bit traumatizing, avatar. I’m probably going to get something pretty low, so if I do, I’ll have to ask that whoever rates me recommends a better avatar for me, if you will. I know it’s not the most original thing that I have right now. Thanks.

What bothers you the most about know your meme

Beat wrote: Don and Brad with their constant dead horse beating FUCKING when it comes to their “meme” entries. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say they get paid to force memes. Oh wait, THEY DO. I have to say that I disagree with this statement. And just to make sure that this was the right decision, I actually took the time to look through the entries created by Don and Brad, especially ones that they’re working on solo, and I must say that I’m impressed. They manage to properly document spread,...

Thank you

Oh, a new member! Well, I haven’t yet introduced myself! Fun Police, at your service. I hope that I can help you in some way and become a friend soon enough. Also, just a warning: this might be locked as the moderators may see it as unnecessary. (In case you don’t know our mods, we have about 10 or so that are currently active.) Still though, the point remains that I’m pleased to meet you, and hope we can build a positive relationship moving forward.

Seth MacFarlane is Unfunny and Overrated/KYM "We fell for it OP" General

I don’t think that it was wise to make this thread. It’s just asking for a flame war. @OP: I agree with Firo Prochainezo. I’d advise cooling down if you have a history of doing this kind of thing. I don’t think that this thread was created with the intention of trolling, as the above post implies that you make threads like this somewhat often. So I think your feelings are genuine and that this post is justifiable. Rather, I’m asking for a lock. I know that that kind of thing doesn’t really contribute to...

Yo PewDiePie

(Sorry for my double-post, missed the editing time limit. Sorry, but could you be more specific? Are you referring to the thread, or the video, or…?

Yo PewDiePie

I don’t watch PewDiePie’s videos, but I know very well who he is and the kind of stuff he makes. I think it was a bit daft of him to post that comment, as he probably could have foreseen a sh#tstorm upon his doing that. I also think that some of the comments posted on that video were imprudent. I don’t like brashness and inconsiderateness, and was feeling a bit rustled seeing the words some people exchanged with each other. But that’s just me.

Rants!

I hate it when people double-post rather than just editing. (Cough cough)
