Oh, and if I ever, ever get too annoying with my DBZ related stuff, feel free to let me know. I’ll be glad to tone it down a bit (or completely stop if that’s what people want). My Steam username and PlayStation Network username is generalyi (no caps, no spaces).
Every Sunday, I post the weekly Bible Verse on my wall and anyone is free to discuss what it means to them or how it spoke to them. I also take prayer requests that can be posted on my wall or private messaged to me (PM’d will be kept anonymous and will not be put on the prayer request list as a result). Any person is welcome, Christian or not, we welcome all who are curious. If you want to join, let me know and i’ll make it so, and lurking is just as fine.

Is this selfish? Perhaps. I would agree with you on that. But please understand, I do not wish to live in such turmoil anymore. And if this is what it takes, then so be it. You have all been kind to me, and have given me much joy and confidence as both a simple being and a Christian. May the blessings of Christ be upon you all, and may our roads meet again some day, in this site or the next.
“The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have come to a revelation of my own as of late. As some or many of you are aware, I struggle with the Vice of Lust, usually spurred on by images found on the internet and such. For so long I assumed that only those websites designed for that specific purpose were the pitfalls of me, but I have found that a much more nearer and dearer site is the root of this problem, yes, it is KnowYourMeme itself.
Before stones are thrown, let me be clear and say that no one else should be led to leave this site, if the content doesn’t bother you, then you have nothing to worry about. However, I am a weaker man in this field and even the basic trending images gallery on the front page is enough to bring me to the dregs of my being. That is why I have decided to take a holiday, a very long holiday from this website. As of now, I don’t intend to be back until the end of the Summer, meaning the Bible Study will be put on hiatus until that point. In the meantime, I will pray continuously over whether I should return at all or not once the Summer has reached its full course.
Why thank you! Personally I don’t see myself as anyone spectacular on here though.
Hey! Glad to have a new friend!
My first week of camp went very well, and now i’m just relaxing this weekend until the next batch of campers (105 total, oh boy…) so prayer for that would be nice. Please bless my coworkers too with the same prayers. My addictions have been waning due to being surrounded by Godly people in such a God-filled place like my camp, so often times I do not feel any desire to sin. It’s such a reviving feeling. Let me know if I can pray for any of you, and i’ll see you all next week!
“For you were once in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”
Context: Paul the Apostle urges the Church of Ephesus and all Christians to live as Christ once did now that they are forgiven by His sacrifice.
Hello again everyone! I trust you’re all keeping well as the Summer marches on. This verse speaks of how that as Christians, we are forgiven of all our sins in past, present, and future by Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross for us, and now we must act like it. Often times we find ourselves backsliding into our sins but brush it off as mere human habit, but this is not so. True, our natural tendency is to sin but that doesn’t mean we are trapped by it. God sent his Son to die a terrible death for all of us who are unworthy of His glory so that no darkness could hold the light within all of us by Him at bay, and as His sons and daughters it is our duty to share that light with those around us still in the dark. Please, reach out to those around you and touch their hearts, though it may seem full of nothing but small deeds. Every mighty oak tree began with a single acorn after all.
“For to me, to live is Christ, to die is gain.”
Context: The Apostle Paul explains to the Church of Philippi that he is conflicted between whether living and spreading God’s Word is better than dying and living with Him in Heaven.
Hope you’re all keeping well everyone! This verse is actually the theme verse for my Summer Camp this year, and the meaning behind it is a bit confusing. This verse does not call all Christians to die straight away for a better gain, but rather it is a means of encouragement to all Christ followers that in both life and death, Christ is every aspect of us and fills us up to no end.
My week of Staff Training is over, and the first week of real camp begins at 1:00 tomorrow. Please pray that I do my best to glorify God and place a seed of Holy Wisdom in each of my camper’s hearts, regardless of how hard they may be. Also, I have been feeling extremely lonely in the basis of lacking a significant other as of late, more so than normally. Please pray for satisfaction in my current status and that any rouge thoughts go to God instead. Have a great week, and let Christ guide your every step.
“For it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’”
Context: Paul the Apostle’s letter to the church of Ephesus speaks of how casting off sin will reveal Christ’s glory in and around you.
Hey everyone! Hope you had a great week, and this week will begin the first week of having Bible Study every Saturday instead! This verse speaks about how when we as Christians choose to follow Christ’s lead instead of our own, sinful desire, His love and power are demonstrated through us simply by this choice alone.
Sorry about the brief explanation, I’m a bit rushed at the moment, but camp is going well and no new prayer requests needed! Be sure and post yours on here if need be. Have a great week everyone!
(checks time frantically)
This is a really freak’n cool idea for a Pony Tumblr.
“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Context: The Apostle Paul addresses the constant striving for God and how it is one that will always continue.
Hey everyone! And congratulations to all the graduates of 2014! Good job everyone! I picked this week’s verse for just that reason, due to the fact that even though our time spent as students is over, the eternal journey of following Christ Jesus continues on. The Apostle Paul at the time he says this is very well known as an extremely strong believer of Christ, but even he claims that he still has so much farther to go with his relationship with God, meaning that our time spent with God never ends, and that there’s always growth to be experienced, and boundaries to be surpassed with His eternal love.
Welp, i’m done with High School now, and onto college soon! Also be reminded that this Sunday is the last Sunday Bible Study until the end of the Summer due to my Summer Job not having internet until the weekends. So, Bible Study will be held on my wall every Saturday from now on, so keep me updated with prayer requests and good news during my time at camp! My only request is that camp go well for me and all the rest participating there. Have a great week everyone! And again, congrats to the class of 2014!
I don’t care what they’re going to say!
Let the horizon’s blur!
Vision tests never bothered me anyway!
The bad crop job further adds to the satanic glory of this image.
At first I was like
But then I saw the end and was all
Dat last tag
Yes I can say that I have Dragon Ball Z’d on more than one occasion.
It’s just a matter of practice really. You’ll get the hang of it.
Big plans in a week and a day: going to my college orientation at Miami University, Ohio, then starting my summer job as a camp counselor straight after, so I’ll be away from the Internet for about two months. You?
