“You completed your mission!
… Oh wait, no you didn’t.
Better hope it doesn’t happen again!”

Oh you thought this meme was better when it was about candy puns?
It’s nice to see you haven’t let nostalgia cloud your sense of taste.

@That-guy
If you’ve never played any of the games how can you consider ME3 disappointing? You’ve got no frame of reference.

Should probably be merged with “ME3 endings reception”, but let’s see how this develops.
Remember, he tried to save us…. :(

Yeh I know, like I said that’s the best ending… which is sad. ;>_>

@Xikar
If an ending where you forcibly rewrite every living thing in the galaxy’s DNA and destroy what makes them unique without their consent, all while destroying galactic civilization and stranding countless armadas on a completely ruined Earth is the best possible ending, your ending may have a few problems… spoiler alert.

@Bastard1
Mass Effect 1 and 2 both had great endings. So there.

The decline isn’t sharp enough, this implies ME3 started sucking around the middle. As opposed to, you know, the last 15 minutes.

The point, y’all just missed it.

@ScreamingDoom Very, very incorrect.
Multiplayer was actually a relic from a Mass Effect spinoff developed by a different studio that never made it to completion. As such the inclusion of multiplayer had very little impact on the development cycle, which is obvious considering the amount of polish and effort that went into 95% of the single player.
According to “the final hours of ME3” EA actually had little to do with the ending’s abrupt hamfisting. Rumor has it the original endings where leaked and in desperation Bioware quickly hacked together this one.
You’re just blaming EA entirely because they’re an easy target.

Yup, I just saw that thread on the Bioware forums, they couldn’t ignore the uproar forever.
Says it’ll still be a few days before they can give a full response, give some people time to catch up they said. Bioware has a history of taking fan-feedback very seriously. Hopefully this leads to a “Broken Steel” style continuation, preferably for free, but I’m sure most of us would still pay for it.
Of course if they don’t take the opportunity to fix this they’ll probably never hear the end of it, not to mention lose what’s left of their gamer good will. It all comes down to the development process of DLC and if they can pull enough resources to do this thing right.

ME3’s gutretchingly awful ending didn’t really ruin the game for me either. I still love the hell out of it and I’m already planning my newgame plus hardcore mode playthrough. It’s just the last 5 minutes of a 30 hour game that feel really out of place. So while I’m pretty supportive of the cause to have it fixed, there won’t be too much love lost if they don’t do it.

Phht! That’s just about the saddest thing I’ve seen come out of this community in a while. People do desperate things when their fanon is threatened.

Nice concept, but where it falls flat for me is the fact that Twilight’s really more of a sister to Spike then a mother. The ladder can get kind of creepy all things considered. :/
