@topic: The only time I enjoy shipping is when it doesn’t feel manipulative of the characters, when it’s natural and doesn’t conflict with canon personalities and interactions. This makes me really angry for some reason, like when people tried to fanon away Luna’s voice. But this time it’s even more pathetic, honestly, is this really necessary? It’s such a minuscule difference that if I where one of the animators who wanted to please the fans by showing her eyes I’d be pretty insulted by this. @unknown: Well despite what edits where made to a single version of a single episode, Derpy will always be Derpy, both in the show and the fandom. Scratch’s eyes aren’t nearly as big a deal, it’s obvious they did it as a shoutout to the fans. They just used Rainbow Dash’s default eyes figuring they where red enough to appease us, and you know what? They kinda are.

Well, maybe alicorns are the only species of pony powerful enough to warrant being turned into a queen. All the other changelings are roughly the same size as your average pony, but Chrysalis has the same proportions as Celestia. I think thematically it makes sense anyway, her fall from grace is a bit more tragic that way. Besides, alicorns have recently been downgraded, so it’s not as big a deal anymore. (Alicorn FCs are still outlawed by the mary-sue police by the way)
