Everytime I see this phrase I always think of the line from the first Tales of Interest episode on Futurama, “You watched it, you can’t unwatch it!”

I remember an article from the Onion about rejected mascots several years ago. The Grapist was a Koolaid mascot who went around “sodomizing thirsty children”.

It’s also a reference Edvard Munch’s “The Scream”

Your entry actually kind of invalidates itself.

In all honesty, I don’t think this photo could even come close to being considered an internet meme. The original image became an icon long before anything that can reasonably be called the internet existed. While it might qualify as an actual meme, its spread was in no way reliant upon, or related to, the internet.

Kind of a petty correction, but it was not the opening lyric of the song. In fact, that part is preceded by almost three minutes of unbelievably irritating vocal effects.

Immortal is a bit of an anomaly. A fair portion of their fans like them not because they like black metal (or even their music, for that matter), but instead for how unapologetic they are about the absurdity of their image. Kind of like Venom.

Based on its origins on the SA forums, I’d say that this hardly qualifies as an urban legend.
