No, what it means is that large groups of Christians are taking offense at what happened to Robertson as an attack on Christian values. Look at some of these Facebook groups with over a million likes in support of his comments. They’re filled with nothing but angry Christians fuming at the suspension like it’s an attack on the entire Christian faith, comparing Robertson to John the Baptist and other ridiculous statements. There are pictures there of entire church congregations in Duck Dynasty gear in support of Phil. Seemingly every prominent Christian author or figure seems to have weighed in on the controversy in the past 2 weeks. Boycotts had been organized against A&E and Cracker Barrel, which removed DD gear from their stores then put it back under extreme pressure from supporters. That’s the contingent I’m referring to, and it’s not an inconsequential segment, it’s apparently a very large, vocal nationwide group.

Nobody said anything about Christians in other countries. America is where the reaction to this is happening. I doubt the Christians in France or Russia or Brazil are losing any sleep over this if they even know who Phil Robertson is. In America, he’s apparently the freaking voice of all Christianity all of a sudden. I guess Tim Tebow is too washed up in the NFL to fill that role anymore

And you’re not forcing your views on other people when you tell them they can’t do what you don’t like?
