@Tom:
Well, just like any online community, members will begin to feel a sense of friendship with other members as the board develops. At that point, members will want to communicate with each other on friendly levels rather than just staying on topic all the time. That’s how friendship works, right? You come together because of a share interest or two, and then the relationship develops beyond that.

Anyway, that’s why we need to have a general discussion board, because the active members here know each other and want to have a little fun with each other.

…Also, I vote B.

You can show your friendship without creating thousands of threads a day.
There is also the every user wall I you wish to communicate directly to the one you’re interestd in, to create bonds and so forth.

It’s still beyond my understandemnt why some people find it “normal” and “common sense” to flood and create so much topics, because it’s not, and never will be.

So

That’s how friendship works, right?
No, I don’t think so. Unless you’re seeking for attention, and as I said, there’re so much other places for that…

I’m not against General dicussions boards. There were, have been, is and still will be general discussions.
I’m talking about what they call JFF topics.
There’s absolutely no need to have so much JFF topics, not at all.
See, to not rave too much off-topic, I’m answering you there.
