Commented on U MAD?.
@ JimJames22: You are correct. U/YOU MAD? is a direct question and U/YOU MAD is more of a dismissive statement. They are not the same thing.
Encyclopedia Dramatica does have an entry on it and even addresses the incorrect use (U/YOU MAD?) of this meme.
I cannot find any information that shows the origin of U/YOU MAD? is from anything but the Cam’Ron apperance on O’Reilly Factor.
This meme confuses.

I don’t think the fact that this occurs in real life disqualifies it as an internet meme. Obviously, after appearing on the show it still would have popped up at sporting events but I don’t think it would have spread the way it did without the internet. The internet fueled this meme by letting people who were unaware in on the joke.
Commented on Destiel.
Not a meme. I do love good slash tho. This is the best pairing since Angel/Spike.
Side note: Most slash fics are written by heterosexual women as an outlet for their desire to be sandwiched between two men. Homosexuality is more socially acceptable than a woman’s desire to be a Chinese finger trap.
Commented on Pants on the Ground!.
Sorry, Ken Lee. This is my new favorite American Idol based meme. He’s gonna be on The View on Monday which may be the only reason there’s ever been to watch that show. He’s gonna be bigger than William Hung.

Sly-kicks! Gargyles!
Excellent entry. She is the subject of quite a few YTMNDs, too.
Commented on Lip Dub.
I always think of the Back Dorm Boyz and the Barbie Girl guys when I think of lip sync videos.

Commented on X Doesn't Change Facial Expressions.
More on the origin of facial expressions, it’s intro to YTMND, and the eBaum/YTMND wars at the following links so you can beef up the entry a little bit:

Commented on Where is your god now?.
This phrase comes from the movie “The Ten Commandments” when a Hebrew slave master asks “Where’s your messiah now?” The Simpsons used the line from the movie in the episodes Homer Loves Flanders and Simpsons Bible Stories with Wiggum delivering the line “Where’s your messiah now?”. In the movie Pitch Black, Riddick asks the holy man “Where the hell’s your God now?” So variations of this have been around even before it was popular on the internet.
Commented on First.
This seems to have been around for as long as I’ve frequented message boards (since 1999). I’ve seen it used as a game to see who can get in first on a thread that would receive a lot of views and/or replies. This was very common in off-topic threads on gaming message boards where the OP revealed very personal info about their “real” life and/or asked for advice.
