Seriously, there’s some excellent relationship aspects between Twi, Shining, and Flash that could have come up and sorta makes the absence of Flash in S4 a sad thing.

On a more practical side, it helps with internationalization. Just like with in-show for the Sisterhooves Social poster and the Free Foal Press – you can just get a hint of roman characters but they could be Cryillic or the like too. (IIRC outside of numbers, the most straight-up English text ever shown is “ink” on the side of a ink jar, and “WELCOME PRINCESS CELEST”.

@blueyoshi – Another possibility (and if you’ve seen MirrorMask, it would make sense) is that they meet pony!Brad, Twilight + Spike go over (and no one else), she meets and falls in love with human!Brad, and then when she gets back, tries to continue the relationship, based on the idea they share at least similar interests she’d otherwise have never discovered.

Mind you, that’s simply a possibility as it bares bad omens for S4 (aka a Twilight wedding episode)

I am liking that theory.

Unless there’s a time skip between crown being stolen and Twilight crossing over, Sunset’s already in human world for a time (having won the last two balls). It wouldn’t make sense if she were evil, but Brad was.

Though to me I’d love to see it be Queen Chrysalis as Brad.

That’s also totally Brad aka human Twilight’s love interest in the film trailer.

It’s definitely Ted Anderson’s OC for the unicorn stallion on the right but I don’t think I see one that looks like Ben Bates.

Pretty sure the two stallions with glasses are the writer and artist for this.
