I love this meme, but this article needs work. The easiest thing to work on are the “Origin” section; for one thing the original comic was called “This is Why I’ll Never be an Adult,” not “Why I’ll Never be an Adult.” Also, I’d suggest using a Hyperlink to the comic instead of just a footnote. I’d also suggest some more specific background info about the specific entry.

I have seen a few derivatives of this, and I think I might be open to it being confirmed. However, this entry isn’t complete at all and doesn’t even contain the original.

Hmmm, I’ve definitely seen this a lot, but I don’t really think it should’ve been confirmed. It’s a popular concept, but I think its spread can only partially be attributed to the internet.

But I think that the 2009 ROCKETBOOM video, New York City Landmarks is worth mentioning. :]

It’s pretty much going/gone viral, but it’s not a meme (yet). No derivatives, and nothing more than the original The Chive post and pictures. Plus, this entry has no information.

I was thinking of posting it as a “Squidward” sub-meme, but the problem with doing that is that it never stemmed from “Squidward;” they’re two different, unrelated fads. But if there were something else I could put this as a sub-meme of (such as “YouTube fads”), I would. I guess I could put it as a sub-meme for YTP…?

I’ve added view counts and original posters for each video. I tried looking for this on other sites, but all I’ve come up with are embedded videos/links to ones posted on YouTube.

And to all of you who want to deadpool this because you see it as just YTP:

It’s a fad, much like “Squidward” was. If the “Squidward” fad was confirmed, I don’t see why this one shouldn’t be.
