About

My 2012 New Year’s resolution: Let the world know that Milhouse IS a meme! (Done.)

Many users have included music on their pages, and while it seemed it would be rather unoriginal to do so myself, I recently thought, “Well, if I’m considering being unoriginal, why not go all the way?” So, my intention is now to include on this page a new cover song on a roughly weekly basis.

Actually, it’s just because users know me well-enough and because I’m known for liking Pokémon. Philip J.Fry and several others probably should have gotten the title, but I can’t necessarily turn it down…because I do love Pokémon. I’m willing to bet that I’ve play more hours in total than most people on the site.

But it’s a fair question, and you’re reading the situation properly, I’d say.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE o_O

Cantor is a badass. I’ve always felt the same way about Godel, and that his ideas are seriously underrated. Unintuitive, brilliant, perceptive, and ballsy :D

Unfortunately, I’m not very good at crosswords. I don’t have a smooth enough broad set of knowledge on everything, just random scatter points where I have vaguely good knowledge. But if the British style crosswords are the way you describe, maybe I’d fare better there?

Also, surprised you didn’t call me out on BS here.
It ended up working for the wrong reasons.
… I’ve never taken a statistics class.

Also, never asked, but what’s your mathematics specialty? :o

Yea, I agree.
I love math because it’s the only thing that’s well defined in our lives. (Nearly) all the time, you know when you’re right or not. :)

I suppose I have the modern version of GAMES magazine, which would be project euler, a series of math puzzles that you solve with programming (and brute force stops working around problem 25).

Nevertheless, I sent you the article because it provides some interesting commentary in addition to the answer, such as the applicability of the hall marriage theorem, and also if and how we can generalize the method to different types of cards. Like if we vary how many cards we show, how many cards are in the deck, how many suits there are, etc. Clearly the standard deck is really elegant (as you pointed out, it’s like it was made for the trick to work), but perhaps there are some more inelegant ways for different decks? I found it interesting.

Also, yea, I understand the grammar thing, but didn’t you formerly correct people in the forums? :o
Maybe I forgot u_u
oh wells
But yea, no, good grammar on entries is really important, and I’m a stickler for good grammar in formal settings too >_>

Story, story…

Simply, I made an account on a whim once I realized KYM had some funny images and informative articles. It was a cool concept for a site, so I decided to make an account. I had no intentions of communicating with strangers from the Internet. I lurked, so some names like olivia and Trick Lobo struck me as being familiar. That’s about it.

The reason I began to interact with the userbase was because of ponies and boredom. The brony fanbase seemed to be nicer and more welcoming that what the articles about Anonymous and memes like “Tits or GTFO” made me believe. So I began to comment on the MLP entry to talk to people.

After people became upset with MLP’s constant presence on the trending bar, I and a few others made our way over to the forum and the once inactive but featured Pony General (as you can tell, I only posted in Pony-related threads at first, because I still didn’t really trust anyone out of the brony community to be decent.) But in time, others made some threads that were interesting for me, and so I jumped in and learned that the userbase on the whole was pretty cool.

Also, my IRL friend and I loved the whole debacle with Kanye and Taylor Swift. He basically trolled our school’s online newspaper with Kanye West as his pseudonym long before I got active on KYM.

I did not forget about you.
I just got really lazy and never responded to you.
I use KYM so rarely that I don’t even remember my password.
Finding out my password takes effort :T

The Math thread is long dead, but I thought I’d link you to this article. It’s where the guy who presented to problem from me got it, and the exact same example for the 5 cards is used.
Cheerio

You can just send them a PM telling them to not post such entries on KYM, as we document existing internet phenomena but don’t create memes. You’d be suprised how many of those OPs aren’t aware of that.

If it basically reads “I made this lel xD” or “epic trollz0rzz xDDD”, I really don’t mind hiding the entry. The deadpool is a failsafe for things that “might become memes”, but those entries have no hope. I know at least Opspe also follows that policy.

Apparently there’s now a math general thread :o

Woah, that’s old, I completely forgot about it.
Thanks for the criticism, I’ll keep it in mind, though I capitalized “Nigerian Scams” because it was the title of the entry.
P.S. I logged in today to find out that I am now a “Gold Member” instead of a “Brand New Member”. Can you tell me how this happened? Might this be a reference to gold membership trolling?

You need to learn to cherish these small things Brucker, or you’ll never be worth the big.

Hah! Yes, I’d imagine it IS a lot more peaceful that way. I try to do the same; political arguments online go nowhere slowly. If you don’t mind me asking, why come here and not facebook?

Also, on a wildly unrelated note, what do the wife and kids think of you being on the internet? I remember seeing in your final transmission that you’ve been cutting down on internet time in part for their sakes (if I’m remembering correctly). Further, what does your wife think of Katawa Shoujo?

Your final transmission seems to have not been so final.

Maybe you should rename, then.

Also, would you say you’ve succeeded?
