So are you not at work right now or what? According to the KYM map you ought to be at about 2 PM right now.

What. Moargun, do you have… ulterior motives?

I’ll see if I can find it.
Got a time you want to see it?

Or I could download it.
Have you decided what we’re gonna watch?

Well yeah. You have to be able to put it on your screen to stream it. You can stream pretty much anything as long as you can see it.

You didn’t post an image, or I can not see it.

livestream.com is the website I was thinking of. If I recall correctly, I used to host a stream of my own on this forum for watching movies just before I left.

I think the moving castle one is the one I am thinking of. Again, have not seen it. Probably was recommended to me by a friend ages ago.
There was another one about something to do with ghosts, I dunno.
Whatever you want to watch is fine. I don’t actually know much about Japanese movies.
You think what is what maybe?

Yeah, I guess I’m okay.

I don’t mind length. As long as it isn’t something like Ulysses or Homestuck that just NEVER ENDS. But maybe we should start with something that can be watched in one sitting, so that no commitments are made that can’t be kept up with. One of those movies like… oh there was one I wanted to watch… I think it had something to do with a castle in the sky?

Yeah. And the more I listen to other people’s issues, the more I realize how I should have been institutionalized a long time ago. Kinda makes you think…

Uh. Anyway. Yeah, Clannad. Probably. It’s been ages since I’ve considered anime, so maybe I should start there. I’ve seen deathnote twice, once to show my sister and once on my own. I did not like the second season, tbh. I think they should have either had L feign death, or have… that… other guy win. Idunno, I just didn’t like Near and Mellow at all, and thought it was like a deus ex machina when they showed up. I did like the very last episode though, and I feel as if the second season was all about building a plausible environment for the “bad guy” to actually lose.

Long story short, my father (possibly the antichrist) kicked us (his children and wife) out and threw out all of our things, including a whole library of books.

Have you seen Nichijou? Besides that, the only anime I can recall watching is Azumanga, Death Note, and Bleach. The last one I stopped because it was experiencing what I like to call “too many episodes syndrome.” That, and the show outpaced the manga, meaning they had to build an entire filler arc of episodes which, quite honestly, were completely irrelevant and so boring.

One I have always meant to watch is FLCL, and also Klannad. Have you seen either?
When I watched that movie over Skype, we would both just view the same video on youtube, and count down to start it at the same time. :P Streaming is actually a better idea, and there’s a website I know that works for that.

You mean it would seem childish? I don’t mind childish things, and the premise of that book sounds awesome. Have you heard of Axe Cop? That’s exactly why it is so cool. Written by a kid. I wish I still had all the books I had as a kid, they were all worth a second reading.

What kinds of anime do you watch? I think I remember way back when Skype was new I watched a movie with a friend over the internet. If you wanna hang out that’s a way.

If I didn’t like them I wouldn’t be reading them now would I. They are just about super girly topics, like arranged marriage and relationships. I don’t care either way, if it’s a good book then it’s a good book.

Back when I was a kid I used to read a hell of a lot more than I do now. I remember most of the books had something to do with magic. Things like Harry Potter, King Aurthur, and other fictions that deal with wizards and legends.

I get it Moargun. yer a gurl. And you have a Nook. Are you trying to hammer a subliminal message into my head or so- wait… I suddenly… need to buy a nook… and a Russian mail order bride… HNNG TAKE MY MONIES

I used to watch anime a bit, but not anymore. I think the latest I have seen is Nichijou, and that was nearly a year ago. I have never read manga, to my memory (which means I probably have).

Mathilda Savitch is about a girl, name in title, who goes about trying to find a way to get her family past her sister’s death. She ends up being a very troublesome child, and there’s a pretty good plot twist too. Matched is also about a girl (you can tell these are my sister’s books) who lives in a dystopian future in which the government picks your future mate, but something goes wrong with hers. I haven’t read the whole thing yet, barely a chapter or two into it.

What kind of manga to you buy? Do you ever watch the shows produced for them, or are you reading unpopular or niche types of things?

Yup, that’s a lot more books than I read on a regular basis. In my opinion, your weekend was more productive than my whole week.
The last book I read was “Mathilda Savitch,” which was… interesting. I’m currently reading a book called “Matched,” although I haven’t gotten very far into it. It takes me ages to actually finish a book, since I don’t allot a ton of time on the side to reading. Mostly just when I am waiting for something, such as between classes or sitting in an office before an appointment.

I’ve never really gotten into comic books myself.

Doesn’t sound boring at all, unless you hate the things you read. What kind of books? I read quite a bit myself. My sister has a habit of buying every book she sees and doesn’t already own a copy of, so I have a lot of material to work with.

Ah yes, female. Of course, that explains so much.
Meh, the weekend was alright I guess. Nothing really happened.

Once upon a time, there was a person on the internet who said weird things to me, and then asked me to tell a story about cool things. It was ridiculous, but I obliged. Sharks are cool, so there were sharks. And… people, too. People near the sharks. It was dangerous, but somehow they found a way to get along, and everybody was happy. The end.

Some people are just stronger than me at overcoming the urge to save. :I

No no, it is just an xbox. Not the 360 or whatever they call it. Just a regular xbox, with no internet or profiles or any fancy gizmos.

Shame.
This seems rather short, yet I can’t think of anything else to type.

I’m the opposite about money. I feel extreme regret any time I spend money, even if it is for things I need (food, rent, etc.). I’ll probably end up being one of those eccentric bums that has millions in the bank, but lives on the street for reasons beyond comprehension.

I use my computer mostly for internet too. I haven’t been in the IRC often as of late. I also have an xbox. It isn’t terrible, but I do prefer the PC. I can mod my games there, and there is no place for console controllers in strategy games.

Well I do really want Steam’s new Piston thing. That little computer that’s supposed to also be a gaming console, or something along those lines. Once it comes out I’ll probably petition my wallet to cough up some funds.

I am totally taking that the wrong way. Aaaahhhh, we can’t be friends, oh no, etc.

My laptop is sorta falling apart. It’s only two years old, and already the keyboard is fused into one giant button, the disk drive is dead, and all the light icons flicker the wrong colors (such as constantly telling me the sound is muted when it isn’t). I bought a new keyboard, but I have to be careful not to nudge the old one or else the internet dies. I’m afraid of replacing parts cuz the machine might just die on the operating table. Maybe I’ll just… commandeer a copy… elsewhere… legally?

Moargun, you don’t have to go to many lengths to get me to like you, I can tell you’re a fine person. You have nothing to apologize for.
