Good to hear from you, but continue watching the news. I don’t know what the nuclear power plant that is in danger will do next.

I’m alright, too, after a heavy snow in December and especially January. I had a White Christmas for the first time since 1989. while severe thunderstorms and tornadoes recently came by, flooding around and destroying some things. Luckily, no one was killed or even hurt.

Hi mona_jpn. Concerning your comment in the Kimoi Girls article, I’m fully aware of what you’ve already said about Akihabara reusing Internet fads for their shops from time to time, and that it’s not a proof of notability whatsoever. As I stated in the entry, that part wasn’t really there to account for the meme’s popularity but more to introduce the photos in the comment section. I’ve found at least 4 photos of 4 different shops (2 for phones, 1 for computers and 1 for pastry) reusing the picture, which is worthy of a small mention in my opinion.

I fixed up your grammar and whatnot but…

Finding information on Kuso culture’s relation to Senkousha is really difficult. I’ve been working on this for 6 hours and I don’t have anything.

Maybe I’ll get someone who is fully fluent in Chinese (unlike me, who is still learning), and familiar with Kuso to help with the article.

Also, still can’t find anything on the Chinese reaction. Maybe the Senkousha phenomenon was very quiet in China…

Actually, I’ll be gone for the next day and a half, so I’ll update the Senkousha entry then :)

Also, after I add the Chinese/Taiwanese aspects to the meme, the entry should be mostly complete, so tell me when you are done :)

Thank you so much for your help.

I’ve been working on multiple projects lately, and should have dedicated more time to Senkousha.

I’m sorry for that! >.<

I’m sorry to bother you again mona_jpn, but i don’t understand everything about this page that you linked me to:

http://www.hatsune.cc/tohoho/robo/#9999

I’m partly confused because one of the posts is from 2000 (when I thought the Japanese meme started in 2001).

I’m not asking you to translate everything, but can you help me get a basic understanding of what this page is supposed to tell me? Is the website just making fun of Chinese robotics in general or do all the posts somehow relate to Senkousha?

(I’m also confused because the Senkousha gif precedes every post)

I’m sort of confused… o_o

Since your Japanese maybe you could answer a question that has been bothering me for a while now, it’s like this, in several MADs when there are explosions they always use the same source video, a nice explosion viewed from the space, do you have any idea where did it came from?
I would apreciate if you could answer it :)

Hello, Mona_Jpn

I’d truly appreciate it if you could even give me a rough translation of this image.

@Tomberry
You’re welcome.
It seems that the translation from En to Jp by google is not too bad :)

非常にあなたの助けを私は非常に貴重されていただきありがとうございます。
私はいかに私の感謝の気持ちを表現するのか分からない。

This is Google Translate, for my Japanese is very poor anyway. I hope the initial meaning won’t be modified.

Hello.
Because I saw your last message on the forum, I’d like to ask you, if you have some time, to take a look at this one too.
Thank you.

@Joefilms
Yes, of course. I know Sgt. Keroro is loved in many other countries. It is a proud thing.
Unfortunately to say, there is no meme based off him in Japan.
It has not been happend yet that specific characters or dialogs in Sgt. Keroro obtain popularity and are used in parodies or remixies.
On Youtube, we can find some clips named “MAD Movie”. But there are not MADs but AMVs. And there do not obtain popularity even in Japan.
