Hippies were the late ’60s, in the ’70s they just did a lot of drugs minus the half-assed philosophical/political pretext.

Shining armor can create a more powerful barrier, because it’s his special talent (i.e. the shield cutie mark), whereas Twilight is capable of wide variety of magics, and is probably more powerful overall.

Also, there’s really no knowing how powerful Starswirl is.

Read it and laughed, and laughed, and laughed.
It’s funny how a lot of the article seems to hinge on the idea that real men are supposed to be pro-violence, but it’s come out right after the most violent episode in the series.

@Yinzer: Bavaria? That can’t possibly be a real place, there’s not a horse pun anywhere in the name.

I kind of think you have to give some props to Daniel Ingram for this. The musical number did such a great job of really establishing the stakes, motive, and goal of the character, in an effective dramatic, and economical way. Sure, she wasn’t really fleshed out to any meaningful degree, personality-wise, but by the time she came in, there really wasn’t any time to. Barring significant character development, a strong motivation and clear stakes are still a great way to endear a character to your audience. That alone puts her ahead of most Disney princesses.

It’s more likely than a dischord toy, seeing as she’s basically pony shaped

InglipDaniel: “Also, red thumbs = the scale of butthurt”

Just because you personally, are butthurt over every single thing you dislike, doesn’t make it a universal sentiment. Most people just thumb down and move on.

Except, y’know, there was that one line “Griffon the Brush Off” that very specifically spelled out that she hadn’t let a bad experience form a racial bias.

Season 2 finale featured song: “I’m actually Discord”

The fan base seems to really want Cadence to not actually exist.
