A guy in his early twenties from the northern europe, and a fan of good quality cartoons and comics. Also an amateur artist with a musical taste stretching from Melodic Death Metal to Vocaloid. Also a fan of the music of the Touhou Project, and various other videogames.
I come and go as I please, so I might be active for a while, and then disappear without a trace. I’m known for my lurking and ever watchful eye, so I’ll usually answer if you feel the need to summon me from my netherrealm.
But God forbid if I ever become fully active.

I went with the NCR first, and then later decided to do the Yes Man missions since they kept hanging in the mission list (but didn’t save that one). I just wanted to see that ending (and get the achievements).
When I happen to get back into New Vegas and start a new game, I’ll go for the Legion, and lastly for Mr.House.
It’ll probably be easiest if you just get the game of the year edition thingy of New Vegas with all the expansions.
If you get GoTY, you’ll probably like Old World Blues, enjoy Honest Hearts, tolerate Lonesome Road, and hate Dead Money. The Gun Runners arsenal is also a nice expansion, and Courier’s Stash is pretty much useless.
Of course you CAN play through Dead Money, but you should do that only after you really have absolutely nothing else to do in the entire game anymore. It’s just not fun, and by the time you get to Sierra Madre, you realize that you’d much rather be somewhere else.
I also forgot to mention that the entire place is stuffed full of traps, and the casino itself has got security systems.
If you are going to get them seperately, get Old World Blues and Honest Hearts first. After that, check out reviews and opinions of Lonesome Road and Gun Runners Arsenal, and decide if you want to get them both (or just one of them).
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that in Dead Money, you have a bomb collar that prevents you from leaving, and detonates by itself if you get close to radios, which can be a pain in the ass to locate, especially with the poison clouds around.
Just don’t play Dead Money…
Really, just don’t.
That song’s a bit too country for my tastes.
As for the expansions, I can say this.
Old World Blues is THE best expansion in my opinion. Good music, funniest dialoque in game, and lots of stuff to explore. There’s even a Doctor Who reference.
The bad thing is that you can’t get out of there until you finish it, and the enemies can sometimes spawn in front of you. And if you’re at a higher level, the enemies can be pretty damn tough.
Honest Hearts is the second best one in my opinion. A large canyon area to explore, and lots of stuff to do. I liked it a lot.
I heard it can be a pretty tough expansion for diplomat characters though, what with the bears and all.
Lonesome Road is worse than the two I mentioned, but it’s not abysmal. There’s tons of dialoque and interesting choises to make, if that’s what you like.
Be prepared for Deathclaws, and those goddamn Tunnelers though.
Dead Money is by far the worst expansion. You lose all of your stuff, and get to this shitty area where you can’t even sleep. Then there’s the Ghost People, which are the most annoying things in the entire game. Forget about Cazadores and Tunnelers, Ghosts will probably make you regret playing the expansion.
They’re everywhere, and they’re notoriously hard to kill with firearms. And you need to cripple a limb before they even stay down for good.
Get the expansions, but avoid Dead Money, and be cautios about Lonesome Road.
Not much new really. I’m still mostly lurking, and making a post every now and then if there’s something that grabs my attention.
I also mentioned in the Ex-Bronies Anonymous thread that I’ve been somewhat losing my interest in things pony. I mostly just check out high caliber dA groups and Drawfriend Stuff for cool art, and not much else. I’m kinda putting my hopes on the fourth season being better than the third, but with all the alicorn stuff and villains getting redeemed, it seems to be getting more and more unlikely.
The things still keeping me in the fandom, are the good artworks (and my own fickle inspiration), and guys like you, RM, BSoD, Vazquez, etc. You know, the old gang with the quality posts.
As for my own life, I’m pretty much wasting my time in front of the computer doing nothing, when I should either be either drawing, finishing unwatched shows, or at least going through the huge pile of unfinished high quality games that I’ve gathered up.
I’m too busy doing nothing to get nothing done. What a dilemma. But trust me for being a person who can actually be in such a situation.
I think this is the best song when it comes to the music of New Vegas. I used to run around with the Old World Blues broadcast on the radio, just to get this one playing as often as possible.
I know that my KYM friend request came a bit late, but better late than never I guess. I’ve had fun talking with you so far.
I hope you’ll have fun with TERA, and hope your computer can handle it this time around. And do pop by my profile if you want to talk about LoL some more, and I’ll do the same if something interesting comes up.
I’ll keep up with LoL myself, and hope that some glorious day, there will be a weekend without RIOT messing something up.
Jinx definitely seems like a cool champ.
From what I’ve gathered up and seen on the PBE stuff, she’s pretty OP at the moment. She’ll most likely get some nerfs before her eventual release, but I bet she’s going to be strong anyway. The say her Zap is almost like an AD Nidalee Spear at its current state.
I heard she’s fragile like AD Kog’Maw, but better midgame, whereas Kog is more lategame oriented.
Personally I’d recommend a support champ that can protect her with CC (or maybe even with Whimsy). Anyone who would fit with Kog probably. She has got no escapes, and her only CC is a slow, and that slowly armed zone control snare. Needless to say, she depends pretty heavily on her team.
She does get that huge movement speed bonus when she gets a kill or destroys a tower though, so she can escape easily after a kill or objective. I think you can either help her get that one kill to let her escape from a gank, or lock up the enemy with someone like Leona, and buy her the time she needs to escape.
Sona, Leona, and Lulu have always been nice in ARAM. But personally I don’t like Thresh there as much anymore. He’s a godlike in lane, but it’s difficult to do anything in a full blown teamfight, since he mostly has just slows and that Flail interrupt. The hook is good, but it doesn’t work like Blitz, and some people don’t realize that. It’s more like a stun IMO.
And of course some people reel themselves in right after landing that hook with Thresh, instead of waiting for max stun duration.
I used to build Sona with Sorc Boots, Seraph, Lichbane, DCap, Rylai, and Void. That AA, Q, Power Chord combo could almost two shot a squishy. And let’s not even talk about that Flash + Whole Team Crescendo damage total.
Unfortunalely that build didn’t have any CDR, so it couldn’t heal the harass efficiently.
Nowdays I go for Ionian Boots and a Grail, for that 39% CDR with masteries.
It’s also good to go to Rift with 10% CDR from masteries (unless you’re tanky). It’s easy to reach that 40% CDR. You might not afford the 20% CDR luxury of a Grail, but Morellonomicon might do just as well. And that last 10% CDR is easy to get from a Reverie.
It also lets you get the Mobility Boots to make warding (and running to help others) a lot easier.
Hope I’m not boring you with all the League talk though.
I guess it’s just fun to talk with someone who also likes to play support champions.
Those “ultra-pro” players are usually those 12 year-olds.
The more they flame, the less skill they have. At least most of the time.
Of course people make mistakes, and it’s easy to get yourself killed with a squishy support and no items, but some people don’t understand that. They fail to understand that you can’t do much with an underleveled support Sona when your team is getting smashed, and you’re at 20% HP yourself, and your ult is on CD.
All you can do is help those still alive to escape with E Chord and Speed boost (+ Reverie), but it’s not new that they head straight into battle again for that one low HP enemy, die to the rest of their team, and then blame you for it.
I’ve had my share of those guys with “Two of them are pretty low! Let’s 3v5 their entire team!” attitude.
> ADC too busy getting CC:d and dying before killing anyone.
> Blame the support and jungler for not helping.
Yea, that’s pretty much THE reason I have never had any intention to go play ranked. It would be just like the “League of Children” videos.
Maybe if I had a full premade team of friends, then I might consider supporting there, but definitely not on solo/duo Q.
As far as I know, the matchmaker just keeps track of how skilled the players were that you just defeated or got defeated by, and then counts it towards you own MMR by increasing or decreasing it accordingly.
I guess it’s a somewhat working system, but I don’t like being matched against people with 500-1000 wins in normals, while I only have around 100, especially when I’ve mostly just played mid or support, and then proceed to get yelled at by people who have much more experience in PvP Rift.
Feels a bit unfair, and that’s been keeping me from getting into it again.
My GF actually bought me the Butterfly Kog and Pink Taric skins for lulz. They’re the best.
As for Sona skins, I go with Muse myself. Arcade is too popular, and Guqin’s dress looks a bit weird ingame. Sona was actually one of my first champs, and is still one of my favourites.
I personally have no idea what my ranking would be, but as for ARAMs, I mostly get matched with Silver and Gold players, although I see a few Plats and Diamonds every now and then.
I don’t have amazing mechanics or quick reflexes (and definitely not a quick internet connection), but I guess I do decent enough. I don’t really play anything else on my laptop besides LoL, and Diablo II.
I’m much better with a controller than with a keyboard.
I used to play mostly mid and support when I still played normals. Loved to wreck face with Xerath, which was pretty rare pick at the time, but then Reginald happened, and people started noticing him…
BTW, if you play Ahri, I’m pretty sure you checked out how Faker plays her. If not, I recommend taking a look at that.
These days I just get my first win from bots with my GF, play a couple of novelty games there (try stupid stuff, or try out new champs), and then go play ARAM with her (if my horrible 3G modem lets me).
AP Kog has been a beast in that mode, and by far my favourite. Just get Grail, Tear, and maximum magic penetration, and proceed to wreck face. Bonus points if you do it all with the butterfly skin.
Well, a fed and farmed Veigar with a Deathfire Grasp has always been able to one-shot just about anyone, especially a squishy underleveled support with no items. I’m pretty sure the automated laugh when he ults also adds moar damage.
I still remember when all ARAM matches were custom made on the Proving Grounds, and there was a chance that both teams had a Veigar with a default skin…
All those Event Horizons and Dark Matters, and you never knew which one was gonna stun or damage you, so you had to assume they all did. I’ve never been as confused, scared, and amused at the same time in an ARAM.
Yea, it was just too good to be left unappreciate in that thread.
Those peasants have never heeded your warnings. One day I will become fully active user, and KYM shall know hell.
Hundreds of drawings will rain down from the heavens, and the unworthy shall be bathed in the tormented ink. Only Super Robo Jesus could save you, but he got Deadpooled for your sins, and nothing shall stop my final Judgement.
But first, I shall watch some ponies.
“I am evil, stop laughing!”
Quote inspired by a certain purple caster minion I suppose?
You might’ve done this already, but remember to check out the other two songs from “The Black Satans”. The Mutilation of Christ, and The Satanic Darkness. Needless to say, they aren’t actually serious, but the videos and descriptions always make me laugh. Time after time.
True Norweigan Black Metal from Finland, shot during a warm and sunny summer day at the beach. Doesn’t get better than that.
Except for the playset doublebass, nothing beats that. Nothing.
Well, metal has always been a bit “underground” and discriminated by mainstream. Metal’s been pretty widely accepted here in the north for a long time already though, and I’m grateful for that.
I guess there are still a lot of people who think metal is like this.
Folk and Pagan metal have always been my personal favourite genre. I don’t what it is that makes powerful rythm of metal, and old school instruments such a great combination. Maybe it’s that certain light heartedness and feelgood mood that those bands and their songs usually radiate. They know how to make great music, but aren’t always dead serious.
It’s perfect music when taking a few drinks with good friends.

So, a fellow fan of metal eh?
How about folk metal then, fan of that genre as well? FinnTroll, Eluveitie, Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow, Turisas, that type of stuff?
I know germans like their metal, and we finns sure know how to write it.
