KYM Pony General VII: Live Free or Twi Hard
It took me quite a while to dig this up from my gallery, but it was still there. So here you go. The old KYM PG Family Photo. See how many of the people are still here with us.

A guy in his early twenties from the northern europe, and a fan of good quality cartoons and comics. Also an amateur artist with a musical taste stretching from Melodic Death Metal to Vocaloid. Also a fan of the music of the Touhou Project, and various other videogames.
Also a casual and level headed fan of FiM, who has been following the community for quite a while, due to the creation driven remix culture behind it.

@Rinsankajugin I think I might be one of the qualified people to give critique regarding art. I’ll link your picture on this page too, just for the sake of clarity. Okay, let’s start, shall we. First of all, I have to ask you if you use any tutorials and references for help? Try to draw from real life, photographs (models, poses, adult entertainment etc.). I also recomment using tutorials. I was stupid enough not to do so when I started, and now my pictures are inherently flawed. But enough about...
@DeadParrot Okay, I know that is some character from the Disgaea series. I haven’t actually played any of those games (yet), but I have gone through enough videogame cases while looking for something to buy, to recognize the skull earrings and the wings. Yes, I pay particular attention to RPG games, especially if I run into JRPG’s. But the real reason I took part in this… thing, is that I wanted to dig up some of my old crossover stuff, and see if anyone can actually recognize where they’re from. So,...
@DeadParrot Actually there is in fact a small story behind the whole thing. This pic is part of the “Arcane Set”, which is sort of a JRPG inspired alternate timeline, that I use as a basis for some of my drawings. Since some people asked me for a lore, I included a small story to this picture. You can read it in the original source if you want to. I’m not exactly a writer, but it was fun to do anyway. But if you want the short version, those things are basically the origin of Elements in the lore. And...
Hay guise. Belive it or not, after almost a year long break, I finally finished a new proper pony drawing. I actually got the idea for this pic ’bout two years ago, but now I finally made it happen. I have no idea when I get more done, but like usual, you guys get to see these as soon as I upload them on dA. Unless Calpain beats me to uploading my own pictures of course (it has happenend before). But I doubt that’s gonna happen this day and age in the history of KYM, especially since Calpain abandoned...
What a nice little thread you guys have here. It would be a shame if someone… …Visited it. Or as much as an omnipresent lurker can “visit” the new KYM PG. The change to seventh thread may not have been as exciting as reaching the 100th page of the first Pony General, but it was fun seeing some people experience it for the first time. Normally I would have required a sacrifice to compensate for this sudden appearance, but I think the few extra pages of the last thread shall suffice. For now. Just...
I’m not really big into classical music, but I do love orchestral music, especially when combined along with the powerful rythm of metal. Or videogame orchestral, that’s awesome too in my humble opinion. But then on the other hand, there has always been Gustav Holst and The Planets Suite. That is the one and only classical CD that I own (excluding a random Chopin collection that I never really listened that much). I know that The Planets Suite used to be considered pretty “common”, or “for the masses”...
Well, since I went back to digging through my old stuff, I found two moar scetches of abandoned pics. There was one more badly unfinished pic of Celestia as a filly, but that was just not nearly good enough to show, so I won’t. But here’s at least two never seen pics. I haven’t even uploaded these to dA. This one was supposed to be called “Ego”, but I just didn’t like the way the clean lineart came out to be. It was supposed to be shaded in black and white, but I just didn’t feel like doing it...
Well, since it’s certainly been quite a while since the last time I posted any drawings here, I decided to show you guys something that I found from “the bottom of my drawer”. These are pics that have been lying unfinished for months and months, that were supposed to be proper pics, but stayed as scethces due to my laziness. Here you go. The first one was drawn approximately at the same time I did the “No Strings Attached” pic, but never got the colors. Definitely inspired by the Fighting is Magic back...
Hay guise, long time no face. Errrr…. Since you were talking about the title of the next Pony General Thread, I just had to log in and dig up this gold nugget by StarGazer. That’s the best tilte for a thread there ever was, or ever will be. Don’t lie to yourself. You know it to be true. That’s pretty much all I had to say. Yes, I’m still stuck here like background radiation, and come out only if there’s something I need to say, or if I have something worth adding to the conversation (especially art...
Well, since I finally got something finished after a long break, I thought I might show it to you guys as well. (yes, I’ve been here every day, but just haven’t posted anything) I drew this as a (late) christmas present for my girlfriend, since she wanted a pic of Draven from League of Legends. Too bad this also shows my inexperience with male characters, since many features from my female characters obviously carried over. I would’ve preferred this if he would’ve been more of a badass and crazy looking,...
@DeadParrot Actually I though Lauren might’ve had something Galaxy Girls related in mind too when I read that statement. And you know what, I think I’d be okay with that. Of course I don’t have much knowledge of the Galaxy Girls, but if the ponies are forced to be thrown out of the window due to law being an asshole, then this might actually be an acceptable solution. Of course the Galaxy Girls game could never be as popular as Fighting is Magic, but it would be a great homage to the “creator” of...
Naturally, Draven as everyone would have been a valid solution too. Though the guy who dies first would still have been Teemo.
I think I’ll have to go with the first encounter with a Licker, from Resident Evil 2. I know that there have been many equally scary moments, such as the “wall hands” from RE2, and the “strange radio” scene from the first Silent Hill. The reason I remember this scene so well, is probably the fact that I was about 10 years old when I played through it. I always got through the streets of Raccoon City, but when I got to the Police Station, then things always got scary. First I get to the room where can...
@Mega Oh god, am I Lollipoppy in that picture!? The horror! THE HORROR!!! Though I think I can safely bet that Lich would have wanted Lulu, and Vlad would have been an excellent Vladimir (puns too stronk). And Mexx as Udyr? That’s beyond perfect fit. Good job on that pic Mega. (yes, I had to post just to say that)
I shall crush this sunday doodler beneath my heel! Nah, i kid. While I’d love to take up the challenge, I’m afraid I’d be a tad too slow to get stuff done. And even if I ever made a drawing thread of my own, I could only make a few select requests happen. That might just leave me with a bunch of unhappy people. I haven’t even found the time to finish that picture of Draaaaaaven, that I was supposed to draw for my girlfriend this christmas…
As for all finns, Tanoshii Moomin Ikka was a big part of my childhood. And since I wanted a simple username instead of my old monster of a name, I went with the finnish name for Moomin, which is Muumi. But in the end, I’m probably better known for my Hatsune Miku avatars than I’m for my username.
Dac wrote: Well, I’ve always had mixed feelings about bronies. On one hand, the can make some damn good fan work, but on the other hand, they can be over overzealous, whiny, and sometimes creepy. My opinion has swayed more to the negative spectrum lately. I don’t hate them by any means though. Pretty much this. While I still identify as a fan of the show, and have been around since early 2011, I still don’t like to call myself a brony. I don’t need any titles to make myself feel special, or part of a...
…While I don’t have a problem with the Angry Birds games (maybe because I haven’t even played them to give a good opinion), I’m really getting tired of all this commercialism. While I’m glad that there’s a finnish product that has become wildly popular around the world since Nokia, I still cannot help but to cringe every time every time I see and/or hear of new they try to sell with the title. And if you think all the merchandise with the Angry Birds title is bad wherever you live, you should be happy...
Millennial Dan wrote: Now, for the real reason of my post. Muumi! I know you’re out there! I was just curious, did you happen to see today’s Drawfriend? Cuz this was in it. Nah, I didn’t see that one just yet. Mostly because your “Today’s Drawfriend”, is “Tonight’s Drawfriend” for me. I quickly browse through KYM before I browse EqD, so naturally you got to show it to me first. I haven’t been visiting dA too frequently either due to my hiatus, so I couldn’t catch it there either. And while you guys...
