And before this people used to tell eachother to go to DOS and type in “DELTREE C:\ /y” and press enter, this would both delete everything on the C-drive and skip the “Are you sure you want to delete the entire contents of this folder? press y/n to proceed.” line.
The first time I heard about it was in the late 80’s to early 90’s.
