Cantor is a badass. I’ve always felt the same way about Godel, and that his ideas are seriously underrated. Unintuitive, brilliant, perceptive, and ballsy :D
Unfortunately, I’m not very good at crosswords. I don’t have a smooth enough broad set of knowledge on everything, just random scatter points where I have vaguely good knowledge. But if the British style crosswords are the way you describe, maybe I’d fare better there?
Also, surprised you didn’t call me out on BS here.
It ended up working for the wrong reasons.
… I’ve never taken a statistics class.
Also, never asked, but what’s your mathematics specialty? :o

You looked at my entries? o///o
how embarrassing…
They’re remnants of a young high schooler not knowing what they’re doing .
Thanks though, and thanks again. Glad to see that there are many people who are interested in the historical/foreign entries too, and not on the latest popular fad :)

Yea, I agree.
I love math because it’s the only thing that’s well defined in our lives. (Nearly) all the time, you know when you’re right or not. :)
I suppose I have the modern version of GAMES magazine, which would be project euler, a series of math puzzles that you solve with programming (and brute force stops working around problem 25).
Nevertheless, I sent you the article because it provides some interesting commentary in addition to the answer, such as the applicability of the hall marriage theorem, and also if and how we can generalize the method to different types of cards. Like if we vary how many cards we show, how many cards are in the deck, how many suits there are, etc. Clearly the standard deck is really elegant (as you pointed out, it’s like it was made for the trick to work), but perhaps there are some more inelegant ways for different decks? I found it interesting.
Also, yea, I understand the grammar thing, but didn’t you formerly correct people in the forums? :o
Maybe I forgot u_u
oh wells
But yea, no, good grammar on entries is really important, and I’m a stickler for good grammar in formal settings too >_>
Wrote on Milhouse: all part of the plan's wall.
goddamn, i suck.
Whatever, i had a grammatical error in the message.
You and I both know what’s wrong with it :o
Wrote on Milhouse: all part of the plan's wall.
oh and grammar nazi,
“the* problem,” not “to problem.”
Wrote on Milhouse: all part of the plan's wall.
I did not forget about you.
I just got really lazy and never responded to you.
I use KYM so rarely that I don’t even remember my password.
Finding out my password takes effort :T
The Math thread is long dead, but I thought I’d link you to this article. It’s where the guy who presented to problem from me got it, and the exact same example for the 5 cards is used.
Cheerio

Ha, yea, I mainly got bored with all my friends posting less, as well as me feeling that the direction of the website was not great. Or as PimpAbra pointed out…
I suppose if you were to understand “my hold,” I would be to DrPepperFan, as Tomberry is to RandomMan. I wrote lots of entries and was awesome :D but got bored.
And yes, I’m an undergrad at University of Illinois. We have cornfields and soybeans, and our mascot was removed for being racially insensitive :T
Also, thanks, it took me a while to figure out how to make a gif from videos on the internet _
If you’re curious, the character is Poplar from Working!, and the gif comes from the awesome mashup, COOLISH MASHUP
Anyway, nice to meet you i guess :o
awkward out

The plot thickens
Ah, I see :<
I should probably be more goal oriented in life too :P
Ah, but yea, do let me know if he starts posting videos and such. I’ve got nothing better to do anyway :o
Wrote on Moargun's wall.
yea, i do that sometimes :o
Wrote on Milhouse: all part of the plan's wall.
Apparently there’s now a math general thread :o
Wanna join in the math circlejerk?
Wrote on Jeane's wall.
Doesn’t bother me :)
Currently studying CS/Programming, but i dunno. Pretty unmotivated _
Not sure what to do with my life ¯\(-_o)/¯
Also, you and your brother do movie reviews? Are they online? :o
Wrote on Jeane's wall.
Haha, don’t worry about it; i’m just much lazier at responding quickly than i used to be u_u
like reaaaaally lazy.
It’s very bad :T
Also, lol, it does sound like you are giving an advertising synopsis/game review. But yea, I was kinda wondering how much more they could do in sequels…
You did kinda die in the first game, so i wouldn’t have expected you to be in the 2nd game D’:
Oh well -_o;
I don’t have a game system at college, so I’ll just have to take your word on it until i get the chance to play :/
Wrote on mona_jpn's wall.
Ah, I see you redid the Renai Circulation entry.
Thanks for that :)
I’ve pretty much lost all motivation to do entries, so all my articles are in disrepair :q
Also, the only reason why I wrote down Norio Wakamoto information as a placeholder was because that was what got /a/ particularly interested in the song, and was the first popular parody on YouTube if i recall correctly. It unfortunately seems to have been removed though…
Wrote on Jeane's wall.
Yea i just never bothered to look it up :q
Just finished playing through No More Heroes and it was fantastic though :)
Wrote on Catbug's wall.
Maybe a tad bit too random for my liking :q
Although Catbug is truly a magnificent thing :D
Wrote on Un Mexicano mas' wall.
That would be Momo Velia Deviluke from To Love-Ru, but mainly its sequel, To Love-Ru: Darkness.
She is literally the only reason I am still reading that manga :D

Commented on Has Science Gone Too Far?.
Okay, I am going crazy here.
I swear the “Has science gone too far” is not something added later by parodies, but something that was actually in one of the original advertisements. Specifically, I think it comes from the “Human dog hybrid” picture:
or something very similar.
Can anyone else verify that there was a real advertisement that had the words “science” or “gone too far” or something…?

I can attest to BW and BW2 being pretty fun, but it’s just pokemon; nothing amazingly new or anything so yea :T
ugh, though, distractions D:
At least now it’s snowing now though in the midwest, yeh? :o
I thought i was gonna have a snowless winter…
Edited meme entry Eyebrow Cat.

Haha, yeah, I’ve moved on to other things, but I still lurk quite a bit :)
I’m also surprised that you’re still alive too, and found out that I’m still around.
Good to know that people still remember me apparently

Nothing going on over here either; just freezing while attending classes :T
Oh!
I got Pokemon Black 2 recently.
Beat within a week :D
Failed all my classes doing it.
Totally worth it.
But yea, my e-mail notifies me whenever I get a message so I’m always here, in a way o_O
