Well, here’s my opinion on internet memes:
-It should be a fad (transmitting popular ideas to each other)
-It should be more internetty than IRL (different usage/connotation on the nets or more popular on the nets)
Now, where Impact Font fits into those definitions is very unclear.
-Maybe its a subconscious fad; I might see a funny lolcat image with impact font, and then subconciously choose impact font on my own image.
-Is Impact font more notable or different than the way it is used IRL? Prove it.
TL;DR
A font can be a meme, but I can only support this entry halfway.

Actually I take that back, I support this as a meme. I was hesitant because of the internet’s tendency to make fun of any celebrity’s death, but I think the circumstances in which Steve Irwin died make this situation a bit different.

It’s true that the Crocodile Hunter produced quite a bit of internet jokes, and it is extremely exploitable…
