This is a very good point, thanks for mentioning it. Submissions should stay English-only.

Damn, completely forgot Mona! Updated. Anyways, I would advise against using Google Translate for anything. If it has to be used, the translations should always be checked by someone who actually speaks the language.
This is actually a really great idea. Of course, we’d need people to actually translate them, and not just Google Translate. I remember there was a Google Doc ages ago showing what languages the various mods spoke, so here’s what there was in it (I’ll keep this updated): Katie_C: French mona_jpn: Japanese (native language) Mr J: Mandarin (native language), Spanish opspe: Spanish, French, some Portuguese, some Italian Platus: French, German RandomMan: Dutch (native language), some...
I go on the extreme with this. I only played ME3 with the extended ending, and honestly, I thought it was really good. I know people bitched about how it really came down to one final choice that neglected the entire history of the game, but honestly, I liked that. I’m not sure if I can describe exactly why I liked it so much, but I did. Maybe it was because the final dénouement explained things from a perspective that I hadn’t considered before, but that really ended up making a lot of sense. Maybe...

I’m not sure what you expect to hear from us. The admins don’t control what ads are displayed. To quote James: We can only try to get the actual ads on the site (header, sidebar, footer) changed if they’re doing things like autoplay with sound. There’s not much that can be done about it. If you really find it that offensive, use Adblock, and/or take it up with the advertising companies.
Okay this has to be one of the stranger ones. Original text: Bison is not an endangered species. (Note: I lifted this from the back of a Trader Joe’s bison jerky package because that stuff is good) 35 translations later: As part of this security bulletin.
I’m locking this thread, because it seems to have devolved into acrimony. If you still want help with editors for Vocaloid entries, use either of these threads: Need Help With an Entry? Japanese Memes
No pony stuff outside of the pony thread, please. Locking.
Problem has been resolved.
I had the same problem as well, but it seems to have been resolved. Locking.
Might I suggest that, if you don’t have the book, you go to the physical library and get a copy? It’s probably easier than finding it online.

Under your concept of ‘preferential relativism’, why does what we think matter? It doesn’t influence what you think. So why bother asking anyone else for their opinion?
I’d recommend anything by Flannery O’Connor, on a serious note, or by David Sedaris for humor. Arguably, David Sedaris’ audiobooks are even better than the text versions, since he reads them himself, which makes them infinitely more hilarious.
I agree. An entry about politics on the internet is probably a bit too broad. And there is no evidence whatsoever whether one “side” is derided more than the other. Chowz, I think you’re bringing personal bias to this. When it comes to a bias, more people bash liberals than conservatives. I disagree, based on your equivocation of ‘liberals’ with ‘conservatives’. The two categories, so to speak, are very different. The type of person you refer to as ‘liberal’ would likely be more appropriately...
