Water on Mars

From NPR NASA’s Curiosity rover has found definitive proof that water once ran across the surface of Mars, the agency announced today. NASA scientists say new photos from the rover show rocks that were smoothed and rounded by water. The rocks are in a large canyon and nearby channels that were cut by flowing water, making up an alluvial fan. “You had water transporting these gravels to the downslope of the fan,” NASA researchers say. Alright you guys, I just found out something uncanny. You remember that episode near the end of TLA where they help rescue a fire nation village by taking on the appearance of a spirit called “The Painted Lady”? Well, I just found out that the phrase “painted woman” is an archaic term for a “prostitute” or a “promiscuous woman.” So, do you think this was intentional? Either way, does this change what you think of the episode?
