True, but again with time travel, you can’t really assume anything. That’s just my take on the situation, and honestly I have no idea how Future Trunks would handle Buu. However, if the timelines were the same all the way until Mecha-Frieza, couldn’t Future Trunks just go to New Namek and wish the dead Z-Fighters back to life with Porunga?

That’s a really good point. Time travel was always a fuzzy subject for me, and there are no concrete rules for it that apply to any work of fiction. The only possible explanation I have would be that Buu doesn’t exist in Future Trunk’s timeline? After all, Android 16 didn’t exist for that timeline, so it would be safe to say that the two different timelines could have differences that drastic. What do you think? I’m just spitballing it here.
