Not sure if it would be relevant to your article, but I just remembered this old browser plug-in called ‘Ponify’ that auto-changes words on any web page into pony equivalents.
I know that most of the article was about visual pony-morphs but with the fan-fic section in there, this might work, too.

A bit slow, but I just noticed the Ponification article.
Very well done, but you missed one of the most recognizable canon ponifications: The Big Lebowski gang in Cutie Pox!

They didn’t have speaking parts like Hoity and Photo, but they were even more direct references and might deserve special mention.
