"I tea my eyes"

I posted under ‘General’ originally which prolly wasn’t the right thing to do.. ..anyhow, I don’t know how or when.. but something tells me this one is going to meme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWw7WvsRHyU from 100k to 200k views past view hours. I think it’s appeal pretty much speaks for itself.

Had to make a brief appearance to say: I don’t know how or when.. but something tells me this one is going to meme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWw7WvsRHyU

Sociology of Memes

I’m not an academic but here are my 2 cents off-hand: - Scope / Definition: If I were you I would try to set some scope around how you are defining “meme” also. As mentioned here memes are largely inside jokes but as you know this activity isn’t restricted to the internet. However, what most folks refer to as “memes” today are “internet memes”. The reason is that the internet enables the profuse replication of inside jokes and the concept of a “meme” itself has seen a rise in...

If I had a nickel..

for every time I read: “not a meme!”, “deadpool.”,“this is really more of a viral video..”, “this belongs under ‘youtube poop’..” ..I’d have a lot of nickels..

Kanye Interrupts... authentic or astroturfed?

Exactly. So for me, while amusing, the meme seems “tainted” considering the idea that MTV “forced” it. While the “internet meme machine” likely genuinely reacted to the original event with all due flair and creativity, it leaves the meme with a bitter aftertaste. Each time I view a play off of the event go from :D to ಠ_ಠ

"Janice, it hurts!"

O.K. – If there was ever a place with a crack team of investigative meme/viral experts, this would be it. So, that being said, does anyone know the origin or identity of the amusement-park-ride-kid and “Janice”? It’s been floating out there on the ‘net for a while and I haven’t seen the answer to that question yet. I’m a little curious about “the rest of the story …” to this viral vid

This yes. Mod fanart?

I second those remarks (Blubber = hilarious / “on-the-ball” with the memes) ..and he likes pbskids. @Blubber: Are you a Caillou fan? (being Canadian an’ all) :)

This yes. Mod fanart?

@Jostin – Ok. I’ll do some more when I get a free moment. (Although I may choose a different medium :P) @Chris – Thanks! :) I guess the best answer I have for your question is “holding the mouse really steady” :D

Here’s a sketch I just did on break, here at work, for Mr. Menning.. I did it in MSPaint tho so it wound-up looking like a Police suspect sketch.. :D “Have you seen this man? Contact local authorities at..”
