So, uhm, I haven’t posted anythin’ here for a quite a while, have I…
A lot of MMO talk here, I see…
Well, not sure if I can toss much in, though, I’ve only been playin’ WoW… for 3 years…

Heh. I appreciate that standing.

But gender norms are a common thing on the internet, it’s not even funny anymore at times. As bronies, you have the major advantage here. How many times I’ve read Bronies < “Pegasisters” (who even calls herself the latter?) is just bad. Following the stereotype, I’m a overweight neckbeard who jacks off to Futashy on a daily basis, or anything along those lines. Which I’m not.

You may have the levels, but do you have enough badges to train me?

Yeah, that makes more sense hahaha.

It’s understandable that you rather avoid such behavior. Sure, winning is nice, but in the end it’s about the game. You play to have fun. Plus if the community only works against you, it’s no longer something enjoyable.

And yeah, I can understand avoiding the Girl Gamer route. Those that use their female gender as a bad excuse or “You silly boys~, don’t hit me because I’m a guurl. Wonk ;D ~” are a common target of mock amongst some gaming communities. So bad advice on my side.

The old jimmies rustling works fine as it is.

Think games like LoL or PWI have it bad? I have played some fps with my friends on Xbox Live. Bless party chat, because in-game chat is the last place you want to find yourself stranded. High pitched voices and every loss is to blame on everyone except the person who blames them (which is everyone).

Thankfully I have some variety in my vidya, and not all games I own have multiplayer function, so it’s quite easy to avoid those situations.

Heh. Well, leaving on instant might be a bit cruel if it went wrong. If they are however all “Welcome to the guild P.S. You suck”, sure, go ahead. You can also try throwing your gender in play, you’ll be suprised how forgiving some males can suddenly be then.

Remember the days you told me Tera had a much older community?

Yet again you have this type:

Clearly you did the coding on the website. No way the fault lies with a dead healer or a boss that you simply don’t have the right level for, taking on that boss wasn’t a risk at all. Certainly no one else can be blamed.

That’s understandable. They wanted a tank, so they should be happy they got one. Sure, it’s understandable that if the tank fucks up you blame him for fucking up. But they have to remember that it’s teamplay. If they failed at switching you out or had no proper heal support ready, that’s a bigger issue that is not only to blame on you. Tanking isn’t without danger.

Plus well yeah, if they’re ungrateful and childish, fuck em. Let them be mad.

Aren’t Lancers the more tanking classes.

As it’s obvious they’re not the best fighters.

Well… I never really thought of a technique.
I just straight attack and overpower.

…Use wooden steaks, I guess?

So…. boss fights….. nearly 20 keys…..

Yeah, I got nothing. Here’s your tactic again:

If I would have to run over it though, divide them in groups. The potions go on 3 related buttons, same for the related regular attacks. The attack over time skills can be allowed some distance from the main attacks. Don’t forget that mouses also have a center key, and for some games even scrolling counts as a button (this is assuming you don’t use just the laptop mouse but a seperate one next to it).

You have to divide them a bit better. Throw the skills you use most often around buttons you often need such as moving. Passive skills that are time related are better off with the numbers. If you notice yourself hardly ever using a skill, ditch it for the super rare cases. Based on how you explained fighting regular monsters, you got the basis there already, just expand on it a bit smarter.

Improvising like ^that also works.

In combination with Mmo, can’t say for certain. On just RPGs in general, mountains of that type of armor logic. But I can’t quickly think of another case with a Mmo that follows that logic, so you score a point there. But even without that, logic on female armor is a common thing in games nowadays. Tecmo’s ninja logic for example:

Appealing to the male audience that way certainly worked for Tera.

Yeah, that seems like a pretty big list of things to getting used to. Luckily for myself I’m no newbie in gaming anymore, so I’ll get used to it. I’ll just have to look deeper into….. all….. those….. steps…..

Too much.

I’m adding lag here. Same as you, I’d love some added agility, plus I’m also a great fan of soloing (what teamplay?). But bad laptop + highly agile character = asking for lag. So just starting a bit slow to play it safe. If it runs without issues, I can always switch later. Who knows.

But hey, 16-year-old-armor-designer-with-a-testosterone-overdose logic still beats Fps logic.

Listing through the classes a bit, I think Beserker might be work for a beginner like myself. I was never one for passive background tactics like archers or mages, just front line melee, no brains necessary.

Which brings you to three options. Go long range and stay out of enemy range. Choose an agile class and avoid damage through skills. Or pick a heavy armor class so that you can allow yourself to skip one set and run on old still decently powerful armor.

Yeah, it was unfortunately to be expected that farming would be a part of gameplay. But it’ll level you up as well while you get better with your skills along the way. So in some way it’s acceptable. Unfortunate, but acceptable.
