Commented on Mammy (Bugs Bunny Blackface)

The sonic one has been on ED for a while as well. it simply has ‘wut’ as a caption, but I’ve indeed seen more versions of this, looks like it’s got some goods here.

hmm… I have only seen this figure once, and not even in the original commercial (it was in a video that claimed to be hentai, and knowing yt that could be either ear rape, a rickroll or some lulz. it was the moon guy playing epic music). he definitely isn’t a viral, this needs some more research and examples, like the YTMND things you mentioned. add some links and it may save it from the deadpool, methinks.

all I see in a short version is ‘this is a meme’. where’s the explanation?

I wanted to suggest the clock topics video right away, but I se it’s already there. now I know where they got that from, I thought it was all just done at random.

Commented on If You Watch X Backwards, It's About Y

haha, this sounds awesome. haven’t seen any of it around but I like it. I see it’s deadpooled but it has potential IMO. let’s see… if you watch ace ventura 2 backwards, it’s about a criminal animal lover who abducts a white bat, gets sucked into a rhyno, goes to a monastery to think it all through and then pulls a raccoon out of a ravine with magic hands, to leave him starving on the mountain.

I fail at this

popular phrase in the advice dog world, but I’m not quite detecting a pattern yet. if this would start to occur at random in non-advice dog related things, you could maybe consider, but now’s definitely too early.

so I see you commented on the cheese slice Dazzy thing. I couldn’t believe he made that an entry either, and if you saw any of my comments you know I also made one of the videos, which in the meantime is the only one that has over 400 views. I agree with you, if it even was a meme it was definitely forced.

Commented on MixedUpMeows' wall

seriously, CS dazzy was definitely a forced meme that wouldn’t work out anyway.

Commented on ScientLOLojyuuichi!! or Tom Cruise Vs The Internet

this is just one of the animutations you find on NG. idk whether there’s a page on those, but it’s just one of them, if the article doesn’t exist, make one that’s not only about one of the videos in the category.

Commented on Cheese Slice Dazzy!

and as of the CSD account, yeah. definitely goes too far. I was pretty mad at that just for the fact that it wasn’t quite funny the first time.

Meows? you’re a user here? it’s me, ilovemadnesscombat.
say this one really was a forced meme IMO, I fucking participated in it as well. it’s not even a successful one.

Commented on Forced Meme

if forced memes also occur in small communities as you said, I participated in 2 which will probably stay unknown for like forever.
one is from protonjon.com when a user claimed proton jon was dead, leading to a ytp like video of The Police (ROOOOOOXANNE, which was posted frequently afterwards every time we discussed how it was obviously not true and such)
the other one was since I joined a few spyro speedruns, Dazzy (I’m not gonna give his yt username) made a video in which he held a slice of cheese and said ‘cheese slice dazzyyyyyy’, which some of his friend users started parodying. they got me into making a little collection of corny CSD jokes…

this fad has even been on the news around here, I immediately thought this had meme potential.

Commented on Nannerpuss

seen this on a 2fort2furious video too, one player was a pyro called nannerpuss, when he won the nannerpuss music played and he went spastic, it was pretty humorous IMO. I loved the abrupt cutoff in the original commercial.

Commented on Tom steekt vuurwerk af (Tom lights some fireworks)

Well, I’ve been looking around on this site for a while and now decided to make an account here.

First just let me say you made a typo in the title, it’s vuurwerk, not vuuwerk.
anyway, moving on to a more useful contribution to this meme:

@ Chris Menning: a possible reason is that fireworks aren’t very remarkable around the 31st of December, I don’t know what it’s like outside the Benelux and Germany, but here we’re all allowed to buy and light some sorts of fireworks from our 16th. before that age I already lit enough of these, and even the first time I actually got this close to a ground bloom (which Tom lights) I didn’t get nearly as excited. people like my brother (probably plenty) wouldn’t even be this excited if they’d get to ignite a spanish cracker (which are illegal).
so in short, Tom just looks moronic and like more of these things (just an example from the top of my head, the angry homo kid) these things randomly become popular. “Vuurwerkje” also sounds incredibly childish and him picking up the ground bloom after a few seconds just makes it more laughable. he just provided decent parody material by making him set off dynamite, atom bombs and other kinds of heavy explosives, and as you can see a few remixes.

TL;DR version: like more memes, Tom looks stupid and people like to laugh at it.
