Well, I use Google’s formatin’, so instead of 2 MB it’s only 200 kB to load. Then I also have images turned off, so browsin’ is pretty easy and quick, but it’s limited to Walls and people’s Activity Sections. However, since there’s not much to load, I don’t eat up the limit too much. Generally, I pay ~2€ each month and 300 MB to use on normal speed. When I use up these 300 MB, the Internet gets far slower. Not noticeable when loadin’ formated sites, but very noticeable when loadin’ full sites, loadin’ images or downloadin’ stuff. I still have unlimited amount of MB to load, but on turtle speed. After a month passes since latest money drain, it drains 2€ again, again have 300 MB on normal speed, and so it loops…

You know, it is not, and I doubt it ever will be possible to make a creative game for touchscreen. All you can make is dumb select-and-drag shit. Classic consoles still will be in use.
Also, no matter how many consoles will pop-up, I still prefer good old PC.
I never even owned a laptop, you know…

For browsin’ the Internet, I use Google’s Formatin’, I even bookmarked my KYM Wall on this format. It basically looks like this, and works far easier on phone. When I want to post somethin’, though, I have to load the page withour formatin’, which takes really long. My phone loads only wall posts and top comments for pics, so all I can post is wall posts. I could send PMs and edit my profile once, but now I can’t, ‘cause they changed somethin’ in codin’ the site.
I think for the same reasons when I’m on my PC I can’t click links in my PMs with middle mouse button to open them in new window, while I could do that before…

It’s basically this crap:

My parents got it for me from one of their co-workers, so it is pretty used-up.
Yes, it doesn’t have Qwerty keyboard, so it is pretty painful to type… No Wi-Fi either, but I use Internet where there’s no Wi-Fi anyway, I just use GPRS connection. And this phone has a good enough browser, so it’s fine for me, I don’t need any Androids or other shit. The Internet goes pretty swiftly, and that varies on phone, ‘cause for example on LG KP500 the same Internet from the same provider was far slower and crankier. I could consider changin’ the phone for somethin’ with Qwerty someday, but I fear that the browser will suck like on the LG…
The battery though… Oh God, the battery sucks…

OH MY GOD IT HAS BEEN A YEAR! Where has all the time gone? Gee, that’s really something, huh? A whole year of KYM. I feel as stupid as I was back then, if not a bit more. I still always have all this self-doubt about anything I do preventing me from fully coming out of my shell, but I’m getting there, I think. And look at you! You seem to be a fine fit into the mess that is the Pony Threads. To us!

Just kidding that would be ILLEGAL.

Oh, and one more because I remembered!

An illustration by J.C. Leyendecker. The way the hair on the woman was done, her pose, EVERYTHING about this illustration gets me excited. I like women depicted with long necks … it makes them look so graceful so easily. The Leyendeckers are famous for their illustrations on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. This one was used for a cover as well. So, I love Saturday Evening Post knockoffs. Like, TOO much.

As for works that inspire me … YES.

Mucha’s Medee, which was a portrait for a theater production starring Sarah Bernhardt, one of his popular models. The expression is just fantastic, and you only see half of her face. Those eyes!

Mrs. Richard Bennett Lloyd by Joshua Reynolds. Reynolds was an English portrait painter in the 18th century and his work is so realistic and so beautiful. The lighting and the profile of the figure in this just makes me melt.

Any sketches or character designs of Glen Keane’s like his work with Rapunzel for Tangled. He is the master of expression, and he knows how to really capture a character’s essence.

It’s not a painting, but it’s a stylized bust of Nefertiti from Ancient Egypt … The beauty of this has just stuck with me over the years, and I’m not sure why. This isn’t even a finished piece, it was merely a model used in a workshop for a work that I’m not sure ever came to fruition.

There are a lot more that I’m in love with, but those are just a few I could think of at this late hour.

I’m not a fan of most of what people call “art” … For instance, that surrealism and such does NOT float my boat. I’m a fan of realism and its derivatives like semi-realism which is of course a branch of illustration, what I do. I’m not one of those people that goes to a museum and stands in front of a painting of a block of one color and think about how it makes me feel. I think that’s silly.

How I interpret it though … I guess I interpret it for what it is. A block of color is a block of color. A painting of a woman in a dress is a woman in a dress. Straightforward, but unless the artist is up in my face telling me exactly what underlying meanings there are in their work, I’m not going to look into it much aside from what’s on the surface.

I agree. I love hearing what inspires people because seriously, when it all comes down to it, all creators are inspired by one thing or another––musicians, artists, writers, you name it. Even the greats were inspired by others. So when it comes down to it, we all really create what we want to create, but our creations play off of everything else and other people/creators. Kinda interesting to think how it’s very cyclical, overlapping, and everything connects one way or another.

Oh, I love questions like this. :) I really don’t see myself as an artist fit as “talent” to answer questions, but I do love answering things like this.

What inspires me to draw? People. I know that sounds cliche and weird, but I have always just had a knack for and favor drawing the human figure. That being said, most of my work revolves around pre-existing characters––fan art, if you will. If I see a character I really love in a TV show, I draw him/her. Anime, game, movie, book, you name it … Drawing characters that I love is one of my favorite things to do.

That being said, I also REALLY enjoy making my own characters. I have visions of these people in my head that just can’t go away sometimes until I draw them. Some are just one-time creations onto paper, and others I refine and alter until I actually give them a story … a lot of those stories have started to overlap and intertwine in this novel / webcomic work I’ve been working on since 2009. (cont’d)

But I also just get my inspiration from the great artists of the day. Especially animators. Glen Keane of Disney is probably my biggest inspiration … he created Ariel, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, and a lot of other characters. His effortlessness in drawing them and perfecting their expressions and emotions is just incredible. I also love Alphonse Mucha’s work from the Art Nouveau period … I really believe a lot of my really heavy linework is thanks in large part to him. I’m a sucker for a thick black contour. :)

Does that answer those questions enough? I hope? :x

Seriously though, I’m not really good at it. I’m just gonna shittly color it like I do with all other JJ sketches, like for example the orc-chick in my avatar.

And I’ll do only the avatar, it’ll be easier and quicker to do.

I like it! As a nickname at least.
And don’t worry, you’re fine.
I find I’m at my most brilliant when I’m up at night without sleep.
All the best ideas come then.

I honestly gave no shit ‘bout this whole Equestria Girls, I would just not watch it, but now they want to turn a fully sentient being into a simple animal, and that’s just somethin’ terribly wrong, if not to call it just unethical. They might just as well turn CMC into cats.

And if they intend to make a talkin’ dog out of Spike… Well, that’d be just a shitty idea.

I meant, that my sympathy towards Spike comes mainly from his portrayal in Pony.movs, as the sane one in the world of idiots. It’s not somethin’ I’d expect from others.

Yea, canon usually means little to me…
