Commented on Nyan Cat / Pop Tart Cat.
I’m constantly checking up on this page to look out for further development on the KYM advertising snafu, resulting in an abnormally high traffic spike for this sponsored page, additional hits for the ad that gets loaded each time, and potentially, the false illusion that this campaign is being useful.
Worth it.

Commented on House with a Boombox.
FLJ’s video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPqcmbjiKOY&feature=feedu
Original video whose reaction stream spawned his: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRuVFsX7IQI
Note that above is just the precursor to FLJ’s video; not necessarily the first uploaded. Haven’t found that one yet.
Commented on House with a Boombox.
Totally confirm; these are spreading like wildfire across Youtube, and FineLeatherJackets just made a spin-off, so it’s about to explode even more.
Commented on Alpha Kenny Body.
Never seen this anywhere myself.
Commented on Interior Semiotics.
How is this not tagged NSFW?
Commented on I, For One, Welcome Our New Insect Overlords.
I see it frequently on TF2; I think it’s fair to say it has permeated the internet.
Commented on DERP.
This isn’t confirmed? Derp.
Could use more information, but it’s definitely a meme.
Commented on Son, I am disappoint.
Definitely a meme, but this article NEEDS more information.
Even a google trends graph would be something.
Commented on Where is Your God Now?.
I have a different take on it. I’ve always seen it associated with pictures of imminent pwnage (such as Ultimate Goatse and Siege Tank Rush above), and other seemingly unstoppable situations of massive scale; Wherever I’ve seen it, it’s appeared to have a meaning akin to “why would your god let this happen to you?” or “if your god is going to save you, where is he?”.
Commented on I Agree with Nick.
How does this depend on the internet to spread? It seems like it uses television and newspapers much more.
Commented on I Hate Iceland.
This seems like it’s on the fence. It could develop into a major meme if we start seeing it spread beyond youtube.
Commented on Escalator Spin.
I love it, but is it really a meme? Does it have a variety of mutations? Is it well known throughout internet culture?

Commented on Chimpanzee on a segway.
This is a meme how? I saw the video when it first came out, but not every youtube video is a meme. In fact, most of them aren’t.
Commented on OMGWTFBBQ.
Found everywhere in many different mediums. Derived exclusively from the internet. Referenced constantly. Totally a meme.
Commented on Hipster Kitty.
“Hipsters” are more of a social concept than a meme, similar to that of vagrants or tools. As for “hipster kitty”, It seems like an advice dog spinoff at best and stale knockoff at worst. I strongly disagree that this has pervaded the internet in an original and distinctive manner to a degree that it deserves to be called a meme.
tl;dr: +1 deadpool

Commented on Trololo / Russian Rickroll.
So, did Steven Colbert bump this up to viral status or what? Beforehand, it seemed less common than a rickroll in my opinion, but now we’re seeing all sorts of mutations spring up, and the mag.ma seems to be charting a rapidly rising popularity.
Commented on Rape face.
I see this all over the internet; confirm.
