About

I am a cartoonist, both online and in print, and a writer. I am a Christian who’s passionately in love with my savior. I am an amateur internet culture analyst who would love to be more than an amateur. And I am happy to help you in any way I can; just feel free to ask.

My Favorite Memes

My Fandoms

• Sherlock – This is my favorite television show so far. It’s phenomenally acted and written, and it keeps me on my seat.

• Doctor Who – I just love how silly it is.

• Homestuck – I care too much NOT to be involved. My favorite characters are, in descending order, Terezi, Gamzee, Rufioh, and John.

• Superheroes (DC specificially) – Loving comic books means that superheroes have to be right up my alley, and I do really enjoy them. My top five in descending order are: Green Arrow, Question, Batman, Deadpool, and Angel (X-Men).

• Legend of Zelda – I’ve been playing them for years. Zelda is one of my favorite game franchises to date.

• Ace Attorney – So well written and immersive.

• Professor Layton – UGH SO GOOD. I already love puzzle games, and the stories are so cute in these games that I can’t help but love them.

What’s On My Mind

I’m in one of those moods because I keep getting reminded of Arrow which I hate passionately and I just want to find a friend who also hates Arrow so whenever I feel bad about it I can go to them and we can be supportive of our mutual hate

I like it how the guy provided links to the sites it’s popular at, and people are still asking for more evidence.

Considering the fact that the Facebook page has 152 thousand likes, I’m perfectly willing to say it’s a meme.

I don’t find this sacrilegious, either. I just think it’s a funny image, and I could totally see Jesus doing that in Heaven at a dance party.

Not to be Mr. Party Pooper, but it makes complete sense when you take into account the fact that women who are wearing bikinis on the beach have made the conscious choice to be seen as they are, meaning that they’re comfortable with their appearance, whereas a woman in underwear is often caught off guard and hasn’t made the conscious choice to be seen.

On the other side, we have the female side of the argument that says that this is another attempt by men to persecute women. I can tell you that’s not true. Regardless of prejudices, the acceptance of women in geek culture has improved greatly in the last ten years, and there ARE girls who only do this for attention, Olivia Munn for example. This isn’t an attack against females trying to be in geek culture, and it doesn’t reinforce the idea that women can’t be geeks. It only is an outlet to express frustration towards people, specifically women, try to associate themselves with the culture for the wrong reasons. Beyond that, though, I can think of a couple of examples where men are portrayed as idiots more often than not in culture: marriage and relationships, for one.

Ah, the grand old obstacle of miscommunication due to the gender gap.

We’ve got the male side of the argument that says that there are girls who pose as nerdy to get attention in today’s culture, which I agree with completely. However, the point does need to be made that there is a certain amount of elitism that males in geek culture tend to express, whether consciously or subconsciously. We get awfully pissy when we feel that our precious bastion of geekdom is being invaded by “outsiders”, even though geekdom and nerddom have become mainstream, and doesn’t hold the same negative stereotypes it did. This can be especially true for women, who have been isolated from expressing themselves as geeks for years, not only because of men’s elitism, but because of gender pressure against it. So, yes, there are fake geek girls. But the accusation women are judged as not being real is more true than we give credit.
