Who is she?
The problem with Samu, is not the fact she is super-sexualized or something. The problem is that is certnainly not Samus. Samus is a lonely, mute, raised by aliens woman. This girl they put in the game, I don’t know of she is, but she has never seen a alien.
Do you find it wisibewl?
It’s nice indeed, and she seems to have the attitude of an alien hunter. But something still bothers me. Most official artworks and fan-art don’t seem to consider that Samus spent most of her life with aliens, and a good amount of time in her armor. She should look a bit more more strange, weird, and vulnerable.
Samus Arna, heroin of a famous game series called Not-Metroid.
I only choose this picture because she looked nice and appropriate, I don’t care about usual comic book bullshits.
Noto’s Babs looks nicer. I don’t care about the official DC canon. For me, Superman still have his (red) pants.
Hang on, K!
A bit ironic when you consider Robin Williams cheered up his friend Christopher Reeve after his accident.
She’s like the reincarnation of Aang. Except she’s not. Because Korra is. And Aang is not a woman!
“shes still a alien fighting badass in and out of suit”
Tell this to Nintendo, they’ve mistaken this
She was prettier when she was in the suit.
So much for a true bad ass sci fi heroin. Screw you Nintendo.
I remember it. It was pretty fun in fact. And unlike the new one, the entire plot of this movie revolved around the title giant monster. Sure, it was very dumb, with silly french caricatures (“Where are Jean-Pierre and Jean-Philippe?”), but with Emmerich it’s part of the fun. And it’s surely more fun than the new one.
Moral: people don’t really watch movies.
In fact, the new Godzilla is a “Gamera Guardian of the Universe” where nobody gives a shit about the title monster. And why new Godzilla is so eager to bring balance to the world? He too was created by an ancient civilisation to protect the world? Non, it’s just because Ken Watanabe said so.
Maybe Godzilla was in the movie the same amount of time, and the story is focused on human character, but the difference is that in the first movie, everything is about Godzilla, everybody is worring about it, everyone is scared by him.
In the new movie, when Godzilla shows up and begins to fight/destroy… cut! ellipse!
And Ken Watanabe is only here to remind the audience that Godzilla is here too.
And the story of the son of Malcolm’s Father is booooring, we don’t give a shit about his wife and kid.
but if we stay on Farscape vs Guardians, after a 50 minutes episode of Farscape, I was like “I want more!”, and after the Guardians (stinger included) I was more like “the first episode of Wander over Yonder was better”.
You’re right but I know some movies with multiple heroes and about the same length (or even shorter) as Guardians of the Galaxy but with far better stories and character development. Like the first Star Wars, Rise of the Guardians (the best superhero team movie with the Incredibles IMO), The Magnificent Seven/Seven Samurais, the Fellowship of the Ring (even if it’s only 1/3 of a story).
You say that people who don’t like GOTG are liars?
Well, I won’t force myself to like a film I didn’t like.
Farscape is full of real fun and humor but it doesn’t rely on it. Farscape tries to explore all kind of crazy stories allowed by the space opera genre (“share the wonders I’ve seen”), while GOTG just tries to look cool with self-laughing gags and a mcguffin.
