The space marines were ORIGINALLY drafted convicts. It’s common knowledge that Starcraft is as much based off WH40K as The Lion King is based off Kimba the White Lion. The similarities are so much more numerous than the differences. It’s not like we’re complaining about it – or, it’s not like we could ever conceivably correct the plagiarism in the lore – We just acknowledge that sc2 is inspired by WH40Ks most prominent races.

I like how any comment that could possibly be perceived to be in any way “anti-brony” is just down voted to oblivion. I just don’t think it’s right that any one fandom/group should have so much power and influence :(

+1 confirm. I kinda quasi-followed this guy for about a year (less?), and I’m really noticing how I’m suddenly running into all these Bros all the time now. Methinks his popularity really exploded during the past few months.

@Zaynman But there’s a difference with enjoying the show, as I do, and clopping. Clopping is the creepy, undesirable side of the fandom.

I enjoy the show, but there’s some of the fandom I want to distance myself from – That’s why I’m an MLP fan but not a Brony. I think many of these haters have a problem with Bronies and not MLP, too.

I try to love the show, and I think that I quite enjoy MLP, but it’s just the invasive fan base that annoys me. It’s the fanatics and the whole mentality of “pontification” and “Resistance is futile; welcome to the herd” that kinda creeps me out… I just want it to be an internet subculture like everything else, not something that is omnipresent like it currently is.

Disappointingly true. It’s just becoming unnecessary and tiring :(

Is it just me, or has anyone else thought that the whole “9gag legion” thing was an inside job? An agent provocateur who’s missions was to have 9gag incite the rage of 4chan?
