Yeah, we really are all equals on here. And that’s good about praying for patience, it’s always a nice attribute to have. I found MLP after seeing the MLB section added for the first time on Memebase. I browsed and laughed a few times, I didn’t even see the fandom as weird, I just accepted it. I watched one episode on The Hub, it was “Over a Barrel”, and I wasn’t terribly impressed believe it or not. I decided I would try it again from the first episode eventually. I finally got around to it when I got my laptop a few months later for Christmas, and I marathoned the whole first half of season 1. The site I was watching it from was super obscure, and didn’t have all the episodes, so I was beyond depressed when I couldn’t watch all of them.

Yes, the “Maid” part is what bothers me really. I don’t like to be considered sweet by any means either. :P

And I’m not so big on all religion in general (not to say I’m not educated on it … all my years of being in a private Christian school taught me about other religions as well), but I do consider myself a Follower as you and Yi do. I’m certainly not tied to any denomination, and I suppose I’m more “spiritual” than I am “religious.”

And I promise I’m working on a response to you via PM slowly … I’ve just been off-and-on busy all day!

Twenty-Five huh? I’m only 16, a Junior in High School. Probably one of the babies of the KYM Brony circle. And this conversation alone already proves that you’re more than caring already. Basically, I just remember these things:
1. Be polite.
2. Be efficient.
3. Have a plan to befriend everyone you meet.
I love how KYM is such a happy community though, at least the Brony section from what i’ve seen, and it’s ironic because I see more kindness and effort between complete strangers on this site than IRL between people who have committed relationships. It’s rather sad don’t you think? I mean, I still love having good friends on here, but still.

Nice! And yeah, God gives us trials like that in order to make us smarter and more experienced, and it’s up to us if we want them to turn out that way or just let them ruin us. Usually, it ends up being a bit of both (at least for me anyway). I’m glad you and your friend have these conversations, it really helps both parties.
As for myself, I help maintain a small worship group at my school, we meet every Monday and Friday morning in the school gym before class for around half an hour. Also, a smaller group of us participate in a Bible Study on the rest of the school days. Lastly, I regularly talk with a friend of mine and give her spiritual advice and tips and whatnot. All of which are free for you to have, if you want that is.

Oh, nononono!
I think it’s ultimately super funny, but I wouldn’t want to call myself such, or be an alumna of such a place. o_o Dawg forever~

Also, this conversation you’re having with Yi pleases me greatly. :)

Wow, that’s pretty cool! It takes major balls in order to become an Atheist. You have to REALLY know your stuff if you want to be one. I’m glad you gave God a second chance though, it means a lot to both Him and those who care about you. Bravo sir.

As for my means of witnessing to those around KYM, I plan on just becoming good friends with those who are willing and work a general religious question into the conversation. So far, i’ve gotten good results, you being one of the best. I don’t want to be the guy that brings his agenda into every little thing, that’s why I only ever bring up religion if i’m talking to someone outside of the MLP gallery, and why I barely post DBZ stuff (it’s gotta be related to the Pony post). So, whaddya think?

Well, I definitely learned something new today …
I would hate to refer to myself as a maid. With a pitcher. Like, what on earth, WHY?

And here I was thinking that the Boll Weevils had the worst mascot in the history of teams/schools.

… What the hell is a SYRUPMAKER? What does it LOOK LIKE?

You know, I have one friend that does call me Cairo because she saw an Egyptian cat papyrus wall scroll my uncle had gotten for me from Giza. So hell, you would be the second one to call me Cairo.

I can’t say I’ve heard of Cairo syrupmakers though … that’s a new one.

I do my best. I’m just a messenger is all. But my original message is a bit more…complicated to spread.

You haven’t, eh? Am I that … alluring?

And just think of Caro, like the syrup. Or Care Bear. I don’t know. o_o

You really have no idea how many people called me “Coraline” after that movie came out though …

Thanks! I’d post a lot more, but I only post when the situation is appropriate. I don’t want to be a bother.

Thanks. I noticed an upbeat on the images lately on Derpibooru, and noted that they we’re from different artists. Decided I should ask while it was on my mind. With there being a little over a thousand different images, it certainly places them as more popular than Sock Fillies, Juiceboxes, and Sweaters. Only “Ponies in socks” has a higher image count.

Hey. Uh…

So I think I’m losing track of my correspondences. Some are just on “hold” until I stop being lazy and decide to write up a decent response, and some I have just flat out forgotten.

So if I haven’t responded, please let me know. I try to keep things organized, but I forget things on occasion still.

Recruited Laurent and ended up getting this conversation.

Ahhhh! He said it! He said it!

Also, Tharja and Idiot are now married. I wish there was a way to file divorces in the game so Idiot gets murdered in his sleep. Poor Idiot.

I just noticed that LezHuarez has been “Suspended”. What does that exactly mean? And what’s the difference between this and normal “Banned”?

Hey Verbose, I’ve got two things I want to ask you.

1: Why all the Twi-hate? I disliked the alicorn thing as well, probably even more so than yourself, but I didn’t hold it against Twilight personally.

2: Watching your football discussion with Random, I’m curious about how much of the game do you think breaks down to the plays and strategies pre-planned by the coach and how much of it breaks down to decisions made by athletes on the field and in the moment.

“football itself is brutal itself especially regarding tackling and defense”

I wish I could say that, but football is a pussy sport at occasion. At times I wish they would give red (=sending them away, leaving that team with a player less) instantly for being a bad actor. Players trying to get an advantage by screaming on the ground like their leg is broken in three ways, while in reality you wouldn’t even call it a bruise, only to stand up harmless once the referee has done either something or nothing, those ruin the entire passion of the game.

Technology needs a bigger place in football. Referees are forced to act on the spot, and cannot review their own decisions during play. The rules for referees and replays are outdated, whereas the players need to stop being pussies.

It is true that football is a much more simple game. Hardest thing to explain is offside, and even that’s pretty easy to understand. Fouls or out of bounds are the main reason for plays to stop, but each sport is unique in its rules, remember this.

Remember though that at their core they’re still sports. People watch sports for the competion, for their love in it, for the feeling of seeing your team win. Whether a game is more complex or not, or the players wear body armor or not, that should not block one’s feel about his love for his team. You don’t watch a sports game for calculations and discussions about tactic. Sure you will act like you know it better than the coach when your team fucks up, but in the end it’s about the thrill of the match.

You will defend American football due to your love for it, your post implies that in any way possible. I will not try to outsmart you here Verbose, I know your love for sports greatly outranks mine. But treatening positioning like it’s only a difference between a striker and a defender is a shallow mindset. The players, their talents, where they’re placed as individuals and how the team is set up as a whole all decides the outcome of a match.

That is actually a question I cannot answer honestly at this moment. This is simply due to our nationalities. Like American Football is dominating there, football/soccer is the dominating sport here (I will stick with just “football” for the time being).

But likewise to that, like football is very minor there, American football receives little attention here. So it’s pretty difficult for me to get into handegg, as professional games like in the US simply don’t exist here. There’s a reason we call it American football.

The games I have seen though through channels that show sports from around the world were indeed interesting, I will admit that much. So there’s certainly a possibility I’ll like the sport should I have the chance for it. Maybe some day…
