As a recent fan of the site, I think you’ve been doing a good job so far. Don’t overthink it guys, stick with the basics: if it’s fun, viral, popular and exploitable, consider it a meme. Failure to meet any of these requirements makes it naught but a one shot joke IMO, but you seem to have thought things over before and it has worked out well. Keep it up. We salute you.

I’m a foreigner and I consider ‘La Caida de Edgar’ as a meme since so many parodies and diferent remixes were created, however I’d go against things like ‘Tengo Miedo’ because it wasn’t that much of a meme, just a guy freaking out. If you DO however consider ‘Tengo Miedo’ a meme, you should check things like: ‘Dios Eolo’ and ‘Canaca’ on YouTube. Both are Mexican well-known memes many people can account for.

Anon is obviously beyond any law Mr.Meme. How could you apply it to the collective hivemind? Anyway, Boxxy and /b/ made peace since she responded positively to the ‘Tits or GTFO’ policy of girls posting in /b/ with RL pics. Besides the newfags supporting her as a ‘Queen’ of sorts, she’s gained somewhat of a fan-base, but instead of having her as a meme per-se I’d say she’s more of a 4-chan celeb. C’mon she’s just a girl in a sugar rush, nothing meme-ish about it.
