Tell me about it, I wish we could do something about it, but I’m also not one for censoring opinions, no matter how childish they are.

So your stance is as follows: “The admins are abusing their position by putting what they like on frontpage they should be putting what I like on frontpage instead fuck what other people think I am the priority”

Oh, and p.s., it’s probably harder to deadpool than to mark it as researching

The admins are the ones who frontpage stuff, but they also run the site, it’s not like they frontpage just what they like, they just post what’s trending

The actual reason for deadpool is because I don’t believe that terraria has enough memetic spread to require an entry. In hindsight I should’ve made a comment to explain that, for which I apologize, but weeaboo moot? really?

Commented on Too Much Water

That’s not an excuse. The fact of the matter is that the inclusion of the large amount of the water makes a dent in the games’ enjoyment factor, no matter what reasoning there is for all the water doesn’t stop it from being less boring. An easy way to fix that would have been to just use less water sections in the original. Sure they can’t exactly change that now, but that just means that the problems that existed in the original game are transferred to this one.

Lets take LoZ: Wind Waker for example. A problem in the original game is that travelling between places was often boring. Sure the whole gimmick of the game is the amount of water based travel, but reasoning does not make up the missing enjoyment factor. This was an aspect that was picked up on and fixed in the remake, but that isn’t the case with this game, meaning the criticism still stands.

Coming from someone who never played Ruby/Sapphire, so please don’t eat me alive because I said something even slightly opposing your obviously objective opinion, but isn’t this a fair criticism? From people I’ve talked to who even adore Gen 3, the main complaint has been “There’s too many water sections”. Even from the other gens, I’ve always hated the water sections myself, and found them slightly boring. So in this respect, isn’t making this a criticism fair?

Essentially, if the reviewer is following the same logic here, the more water sections, the more bland sections, meaning a less enjoyable experience. That’s a totally fair criticism to make if it notably effects the game’s enjoyment.

Check out the ProJared review I posted above, it sums up my thoughts pretty well.

Even though we kept warning and punishing users, the problems kept coming back, which is why things had to go the way they did. It could also be argued that the encouragement they got didn’t help, surely if people noticed they were acting shitty, they would’ve stopped

Well no, not really. By YouTube fodder, he means the poorly made cheap Steam games (basically the amnesia ripoffs). Becoming a YouTuber does not mean he has to start playing them, there are more games out there.
