Yea, I gotta stop caring so much about my rating on Starcraft. Not only is it frustrating to lose, it’s also robbing me of any time to play TF2.

But I want that rating…I want I want it so bad…

I’m no story writer but I could think of a way to extend that plotline and make it seem less so…idealized

EG: When Twilight cast the spell a second time, she got it wrong again and the cutie mark swapping mis-spell occurs once more, only this time it swapped Twilights destiny with Celestias so Twi becomes an alicorn and Celestia becomes a unicorn. There, more plot to work with and a problem that can be continued into season 4 plus a lesson on making mistakes and the harsh reality that sometimes you screw up more than once.

But instead we get a shortcut that takes Twilights development straight to the top and leaves me wondering where the series can go from there. I’m hoping Twilight starts finding princess life less than perfect. Because if there is perfection, then the series gets stale.

But oh well, its only a kids show.

Okay here’s what I was going to say: So I was a having another depressing day where I lost a bunch of starcraft matches so I turned to ponies again brighten the day back up as usual.

The episode still accomplished the goal of being distractedly cheerful. Seeing Fluttershy get hugged by a bear is so cute, I immediately ceased worrying.

The first 14 minutes was very good and that’s coming from one that doesn’t really get into the musical episodes. It was still an adorable story about working together to solve problems. I kind of wish the whole story was just about that. Also I love Rarity’s singing voice. St.Germain has talent

The last 10 minutes felt very much rushed and jammed in…more than usual. Though Celestias scene was touching, I was hoping that Twilights ancension wasn’t the final solution to the episode but rather more of the original problem so it still had somewhere to go.

I watched the finale then I wrote a huge response but something went horribly wrong where the post only contained 10% of what I wrote after I posted it so I had to delete that

My surname is indeed German (though I am also of British and Irish descent), and although there apparently is not a village that shares my namesake, it would certainly be cool.

I’m trying to convince RandomMan that it might be something to consider (the MLP turntable find, that is). After all, if recolors don’t justify memes, then how can the shrug pony be considered a meme, when it is virtually the same thing (although on a different scale of popularity, I would think)?

It’s kind of funny, or ironic maybe, because the little stuff that bugged me about that episode was really just icing on the cake of why I really didn’t like the story overall, but the minor stuff hung up the discussion so much that we never quite got that far. Such is life, I suppose.

That review is pretty well thought out, if far longer than it needed to be. I think the thing that bothered me most is the way Lightning Dust was not only expelled, she was publicly disgraced, and without so much as a reprimand. She actually thought she was following the spirit of the exercise, as it were.

Overall, I’m amazed that Too Many Pinkie Pies would have received such lukewarm reception, and this controversial entry is so widely loved. I really don’t mean to be a hipster, but it seems the masses and I frequently disagree…

Correct on the first account. Don’t know how you pegged that, but maybe you remember how old I said I was, or there are two ways to get “playing video games” and you simply took the dates with the best chances.

As for the month and day, that’s simple. After saying how much I didn’t like Rainbow Dash and how much I didn’t want her to be a mentor to Scootaloo, those were precisely the two I drew (which basically means that they’d be hanging out while I have to watch.)
