I wouldn’t say wubs are exclusive to dubstep. Other genre’s have that too, like this DnB sample full of wubs. Dubstep is not defined by wubs, it’s defined by that 2-step pattern. But yea, Dubstep doesn’t need drops or extreme bass either.

It especially doesn’t need screeching, random noise samples, grinding and chipmunk voices. That’s why I like Ital Tek; his dubstep has none of that utter crap.

Since you asked me what’s the difference between DnB and Dubstep. Take a look at these

At first you wont know what makes these different. They both got drums, the both got bass, they both got electronic synths…what gives? Well pay attention to the drum pattern. Notably: The DnB is faster, the Dub is slower. The drum pattern is unique to the genre and isn’t reused in other genre’s. Memorize them and you can tell the two apart any day. Any questions at this point?

s’cool :) anyway, sorry for the late reply. i was busy with stuff IRL. had a handful of clients. fixed their crummy PCs, made some money.. yeahhh.

and well, i typically lurk night /k/, where the good, relevant stuff actually comes out (i avoid Squid’s threads though, or any thread he ends up shitposting in.)

as for /mlp/, i browse there just to get pictures and the occasional fanfic. i avoid the clop threads.

as for /vg/ and /tg/, haven’t been in there yet. anyway, thanks for the friendship :D

It’s been a year since I first registered for this site, I still remember the days when the “Longcat” entry was still 11 days old, back then I was sure that this site won’t make it.
I used to get my meme info from 4chan and ED, when I saw that there’s a site called KnowYourMeme I was actually excited to see a less offensive site to document all those memes.

It’s a shame really….
