Correction, DrPepperFan has the right interpretation of the origin for Scootabuse. It did stem from a comment Lauren made at one time and resulted in all those pictures.

Scootabuse were pictures that were popular for awhile depicting ponies and people physically and/or emotionally abusing Scootaloo. Rainbow Dash was a big antagonist in these pictures by basically either ignoring Scoot or outright abusing her, all of which was based on the hero worship Scoot has for Dash/ Some of them were pretty violent, but it seems to have fallen out of favor recently and has been replaced by more loving pictures of Scootaloo.

Anyhow, that is how I have observed the short lived phenomenon. Others might be able to inform about it in greater depth.
