Idiot Nerd Girl - Nothing to Prove - Geek Girls & The Doubleclicks

Really? I was in a comic/gaming/used video game store, I bought Metroid II: Return of Samus, dice sets & bag, and a Deadpool comic, and the first thing I’m asked is:

“Is it your boyfriend’s birthday?”

I’m not the type to be all loud and “RAWR I’M A GEEK!!!!1!1” but I like being a geek and simply don’t appreciate the fact that I’m not ‘allowed’ to be one for whatever arbitrary reason people ascribe to me. As far as stereotypes go, this one is minor compared to a lot of the more offensive ones.

But for the video, I was totally hoping Wheaton’s Law would be invoked, and the man himself delivers!

I've never understood this stereotype. I've never looked at a girl and thought she was pretending to be a geek.
