Posting is always a questionable idea, and so many problems could be avoided by people just not sharing their thoughts online. Of course, there are different levels of posting: people like to promote their ideas, and they'll do it in some questionable ways. Tweeting something isn't the same as writing it in a newspaper or getting a tattoo of it. Somewhere in the murky middle ground is the promoted tweet, where a user can pay Twitter to have their tweet advertised so more people will see it.
Usually, it's just a regular ad in tweet form, but since anyone can pay to be promoted, some people who would be better off not posting at all do it too.
