The so-called "Flobby Samuel Insect" meme was first shared on the /r/ComedyHeaven subreddit on August 19th, 2026, by Reddit user Rez-Boa-Dog.
The meme is an image macro of Big Jack Horner, a character from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, over the caption, "flobby samuel insect."
The meme itself is surrounded by further context. It reads, "Matched with a guy on Hinge. Went on a date. He said, "Have you seen the Flobby Samuel meme?" Proceeds to show me this."
The caption continues, "What does this mean, I've stared at it for 2 hours 48 minutes… well make that 49…. He's normal outside of that but genuinely what does it mean?" The post gained over 3,600 upvotes in under 24 hours.
Is 'Flobby Samuel Insect' A Real Meme Format?
The Flobby Samuel Insect meme is not, at the time of publishing this article, a real meme format. The /r/ComedyHeaven post is the first known time the meme was posted online. It was presumably an invention of the poster, meant to confuse people on the subreddit.
The /r/ComedyHeaven subreddit is meant for memes that are "so bad they're good," and this is plausibly the poster's attempt at manufacturing a meme that fits this definition.
