Disney's 2021 anthology TV series Just Beyond is experiencing some unexpected love on Reels and TikTok right now thanks to the Evan Burger meme.

The meme is based on a scene where a kid named Evan Burger gets bullied for his last name, and it's been steadily growing as a brainrot format since the end of 2025.

So, how exactly is the Evan Burger scene being used in memes and why is it so popular right now? Here's what we know.

What Is The 'Evan Burger' Meme?

The Evan Burger meme comes from the seventh episode of the horror comedy anthology series Just Beyond, released on Disney+ in October 2021.

In one scene from the episode, titled "Standing Up For Yourself," a kid named Evan Burger introduces himself to the class, which includes an enthusiastic bully named Trevor Larkin.

The moment Burger says his last name, Larkin starts bullying him, asking if he comes with fries and if his middle name is "cheese."

This scene started going viral online at the end of 2025 and inspired its first brainrot edit on TikTok that October. Then, in February 2026, a prank video where two people reference the meme at a McDonald's went viral, setting off a meme trend.

How Is 'Evan Burger' Used In Memes?

Evan Burger memes went viral in February 2026 through a variety of formats. Some of the most viral examples are brainrot edits, which remix the scene with other brainrot memes to make the most absurd and loud edits possible.

Other memes make reference to the scene and the name "Evan Burger," with one viral video simply sharing an image of a hamburger with a red circle and arrow pointing to an image of the bully.

Now the memes are leaking outside of TikTok and Reels to sites like X, where Larkin's face is becoming a nonsensical meme.
