Kirkification! Also known as the Charlie Kirk Face Swaps meme, this extremely viral trend took over the internet this past month as one of the most controversial memes of all time.

In practice, it involves replacing the face of anyone and everyone in any given image with the late Charlie Kirk's face, a man who was assassinated only a few months ago. So much for South Park's 22.3-year rule.

The meme first started popping up on X in late September 2025 when a user made an edit of October's Meme of the Month winner, the iShowSpeed December 29th Stream, and pasted Kirk's face over Speed's.

The trend snowballed through October and November and is still popping up all over the place now, offering a glimpse at what it means to be edgy on the internet in 2025.

Frieren Looking Up

In second place with 16.7 percent of the votes is Frieren Looking Up. This very Bad Sasuke-coded drawing took the internet by storm after artist SpaceDev1 posted it on Reddit in an earnest attempt to learn how to draw the shown angle correctly.

The drawing was soon reposted across Reddit and X and went viral, inspiring everything from actual drawing advice to redraws and memes that apply the same angle and iconic flat jawline to other popular characters.

The artist has since thanked everyone for making his art go viral and shared more artwork with his newfound fanbase. The original post has become the most popular of all time on the /r/Frieren subreddit, where the image has also been made the subreddit's icon.

Ultimately, the drawing's virality has become one of the most wholesome memes of the year, with many artists seeing their own struggles in the art and using the virality to help another artist grow and improve.

Cassius Thundercock

Pulling up at third with about 9.8 percent of votes is Cassius Thundercock, a state trooper who became the face of police brutality in November thanks to a single appearance at a college football game in 2024.

Memes about the trooper have been going around for well over a year now, but they became one of the biggest things on TikTok and Instagram Reels last month, thanks to the subject's prominent jaw, downward-tipped hat and thick glasses.

Essentially, the memes portray the officer as not only the ultimate "Chad" but as the most evil cop of all time. One of the most common jokes is that Thundercock has had his bodycam turned off since the Vietnam War, implying that he keeps it off so he can commit horrible acts of police brutality.

AI Baby Holding Laugh

With 8.8 percent of the total votes, the bizarre but loveable AI Baby Holding a Laugh takes fourth place. This meme is a rotoscoping of a video of Douyin user @小卿 approaching the camera and laughing with his hand over his mouth.

While the video has been rotoscoped many different ways in November, the AI baby edit proved the most popular as short-form video lovers turned it into a massive meme.

Some versions of the meme take the video and attach it to captions about the things that babies do, while others use the baby to represent an immature friend. Others take the absurdist route and edit the video in the strangest ways possible, solidifying the video as a certified brainrot banger.

As far as ways to use AI go, many arguably could see this as one of the more acceptable examples that come to mind.

Finally, coming in fifth with a very close 8.6 percent of the total votes is the second most viral Charlie Kirk meme of the month, "We Are Charlie Kirk" by Spalexma.

This AI-generated song is about, you guessed it, the death of Charlie Kirk. The song was seemingly generated as a way of honoring Kirk and features the all-too-catchy, very epic line, "We are Charlie Kirk, we carry the flame."

Predictably, the song was met with mixed reactions online. While some Kirk fans embraced it as a way of remembering the late podcaster and political commentator, others thought it was kind of bad and relentlessly mocked it.
