Hey everyone. Back from the dead to fulfill a promise, because that's really the only thing that could bring me back to this unyielding craphole deserving of nothing short of a smothering.

Anyway, back on topic. So, it's time to start this year's scavenger hunt thread.

My first thought when I read this was of the natrp that was sorta attempted by Roy G. Biv. It also could've been some other natrp attempts, since apparently a few have failed. (Didn't turn up anything though in a few minutes of searching.)

This made me think of King Christmas's giveaway threads. (There are 4 in total – 2 Christmas, 2 July.) Didn't find anything there, either.

So a Community Fan-Game that was Canceled before it gained any Traction, was Worked on for quite some Time. Possibly had a team behind it, and said team was "Thrifting" (either some sort of shopping element or might be another way of saying "The team spent more time looking for cool things to add over actually creating it.")

It might be the KYM RPG, Shadowman's Pokemon Rom Hack, or anything Neon Wabbit ever attempted to make (then again he never technically canceled anything, so likely not).

Alternatively it may have been a New May May Island clone of some sort that never took off. Like Lich's Artificial Academy. But now I'm just spitballing.

(Also, don't grill me for clues. Just cause I was Game Master last time doesn't mean I know anything this time. I know not how the disappointed man thinks.)

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but on one of the King Christmas threads one of the winners rejected their gift and another one was choosen from the participants. Or maybe I'm reading it wrong and it refers to the next line.

Didn't Bob give away a bunch of steam games last year? That seems to fit with some of the clue but not necessarily all of it.

Yes. There are 29 total. You'll have until midnight on the 31st (start of the new year) to find them all. That gives you two days after I'm done putting them up.

I never gave games as rewards. If you got something, it was probably just on sale.

Oh right, forgot to mention. I'm thinking of changing up the way badges are given this time around. Maybe I'll reward whoever has the most correct answers (before the corresponding day is through) with the best badge. Maybe I'll just keep it simple. I dunno, I'll figure it out.

Sounds like something related to the Tomodachi Life thread, in which Bob's character was married and had a child. Checks all the boxes, from mingling to children. Link

Checked the Maymay Island and 2nd Tomodachi Life threads and didn't find anything, assuming I didn't miss it. Could the mention of "trotter" mean it's pony or goat related?

Along with the Tomodachi threads I also checked the Mom thread as the rhyme kind reminded me to it (an overprotective christian mom trying to make her daughter stay away from a bunch of nerds devilish site) but I found nothing.

Sounds like the next one has something to do with an apology thread or some sort of positivity thread that got mocked.

Reminds me of the "look at me, I'm the captain now" meme. The first two lines remind me of Sonic. I can't think of any thread that fits either of those though.

Edit: This thread was started by a user called Trash Boat and refers to stories about people being hacked or having their accounts taken over. Also Bob posted in the thread.

So, I looked through last year's and the first official game's thread. Most of the people who took part in those games have deactivated.

Now, this isn't really my place to blog, but I figure since it's my last thread/game, then what the hell. Haha.

Also, don't expect answers while I'm sharing my thoughts.

Anyway, to make up for it, I've put up two clues today.

Also, I've decided that every Saturday I'd make a longer poem to share some story and give this game a more overall Seuss-y feel.

I've been looking ;-; I'm not good at this.

I ran through a lot of the keywords in the hint RM found – didn't find anything.

I was thinking maybe it refers to a well-known, well-liked user who did forum games.

Notable celebrity deaths were: David Bowie, Prince, Robin Williams, Satoru Iwata.

Honestly, the games line at the end had me convinced it was Iwata, but I couldn't place my head around him in a Riff-Raff thread.

But then it hit me that Blubber made a cemetary joke once about Robin Williams, which was correct.

Tried lookin for my old handle, turned up nothing, but knowing the userbase's tendency to needlessly insult eachother I tried roast.

This assumes the person can link all of that to Robin Williams films. Jumanji is like the only Williams film from that list I watched.

I got the boardgames hint, but I just assumed this related to a forum board aka the forum games board, which only confused me as I couldn't relate that board to any celebrity death.

I was sitting on the second one, I found it while sifting through looking for the roast thread. Was holding off until I could bridge it. I searched for "penis" and "HolyCrapItsBob" several times but for some reason they just didn't show up in the search. Guess you just had to be there. Props to you m8.

It shows up if you only search "penis", but not if you search for that and HolyCrapItsBob. Damn you James.

Anyway, I'm thinking potential searches for when bob puts the next clue up are "lore", "describe"+"game", and "game"+"story". Unless it is already up and Bullets is making a fool of us again.

Next one is definitely going to be this thread or some variation.

Don't worry, I'm not that evil. I probably should've mentioned I found the second clue before the mod one by coincidence too. I reckon the next one will be where Tche has linked; it fits the clue pretty well.

I doubt it'll be where Tche has linked. So far Bob only edited his own posts, but that thread holds no Bob post.

It's a step in the right direction, but not the thread.
