As muffins stated, I'm probably the only one here with experience to raise a young horse, hell, I have a yearling colt right now. Still, I have zero experience nor do i want to raise what is probably more like a baby human than a foal. The only reason I would consider it would be because she would be one of a kind and I would be passing up a once in a lifetime opportunity. Still, I just cant imagine that i would just have to, all of a sudden, raise a kid. I don't have a significant other to share the burden and I don't want the next 20 years of my life to be dedicated to something I'm not ready for.But, if I'd have to choose, I guess I would choose rarity or applejack because I would get along with either one better than the rest of the cast.

I have no idea what's going on.

I'm starting a bit early. People probably won't show up for about 15 more minutes.

Here's a recap:
-We got some new mem's and returns.
-We started talking about cosplay and if we'd like it or not.
-There is a shipping war in the image gallery between Joe Amethyst and Advance. There are literally so many ships they could become a fleet.
-Windigo noticed me getting a bit concerned over the ships (not that they're bad, but there were literally a whole lot of them, and some questionable things to), so he teased me by saying that he'd write a ChrysalisxBloomberg fic…
-…which led to me to call him a bastard. But then, El Sinker asked if I'd prefer ChrysalisxMe, and I had no comment (but Lasers did say he'd read it). Joe then said the fic should have as much sex as possible (Errr….). Apparently, Windigo agrees, and so does El Sinker…so that's my story.
-Now, StarGazer is concerned over his brother finding him looking at MLP stuff (and shipping at that)
-Lasers put up a poll to see which Mane 6 character you would take in and why (full details on his post).
-Synchtube's due to start for those interested, apparently.

That sums it up pretty nicely.
Except, one thing seems to be missing.
The fact that Lunar Dawn part 2 isn't published yet.

I don't think we've discussed this here, but refresh my memory if we have.

There's a newish tumblr out there called ''Heterogeneity is Magic'' From a post I saw on Ponibooru, it's looking for art of racially or otherwise minority representations of ponies. Think black or Indian Twilight Sparkle.

So:

1. What do you think of minority representations of art? Personally, objectively, whatever.
2. Do you think that any of the characters could be a minority racially?
   1. No, the response "They're ponies. They don't have races as we construct them." isn't appreciated for the sake of discussion. That's a cop-out.
3. Any favorite art of such ponies?

I'll give my answer to the first two questions once/if people give theirs. But I can give some art though.

I think it's up to the artist portraying the characters as humans to decide the race. Some like the characters to be different minorities, and that's perfectly alright. You can't complain to the artist for their depiction. Art is, beyond a means to express emotion, a means of self-expression, putting life to thought, and showing interpretation.

So, if an artist wants Twilight to be black, that's their business, and there's no need to complain.

I, personally, don't care. I like some art with the characters being different minorities, and I like some that don't. What I do dislike is people flipping their shits because of the depictions of characters. That's just my opinion, though.

1. When it comes to minority art, I'll admit that it doesn't appeal to me as much as "majority" art. But like Explosives said, people have their tastes.

2. Yes. If there are minorities in the show, Zecora, Cranky, and the talking cows would be them.

Welcome to hell… I mean our forums. As you can see, we have discussions like this. Make yourself comfortable, and just play by the rules.
Our forum mod is a chap named Verbose. Pretty neat guy, but what he says is law.
You should also be aware of Random Man (according to him, we're his "army of bitches"). He's a Sr. Entry Moderator, so he's pretty high up in the KYM hiearchy.
I'm not good at introductions of my other forumers or myself, so I'll throw it over to someone else who'll introduce all of us notable folk around here.

As to KYM, i've been in the KYMBB steam group for some time now and am good friends with platus (he got me to make this account) and I am familiar with random man, though I havn't seen him for some time. As for my grammar and spelling, it's about at Kindergarden level, so bear with me.

I'd love to see that. I like the idea of FiM spreading into the mainstream, and I think that it would be a cute thing for Vogue to do. However, I do worry about bronies "forcing" it into the mainstream as well. Outside of her being rather shallow in terms of fashion (which shouldn't be a problem, because Marge isn't really adept at being a sexpot in her role in The Simpsons either from what I know,) the concept isn't really a problem.

tl;dr: Fund it!
 
Before shooting off stray emails to Vogue though, there needs to be an organized plan for action. So if anyone is thinking about doing something tonight or tomorrow…don't do it.

I agree with everything you said. I won't be on much tomorrow, so I'll just let this percolate for a while and then see what happens. If anyone has a good idea and wants to take the initiative, go for it.

In all seriousness, I like to think I'm pretty forgettable anyways. I seldom post anymore, I've only been in this forum eight months, I'm not a mod or other important member of KYM, and I don't really do anything that sets me apart from other posters. I used to post quite a bit back in the day, but I've recently devolved into more of a lurker.

Also, that wasn't a serious post, in case it wasn't clear. You still said I was awesome, after all.
